Pretty fantastic campground and RV park about 20 minutes southwest of Branson. Check online (recreation.gov) for openings of the great campgrounds around Branson & Table Rock Lake. There are a few gems, and this one is a sweet, quiet location with primarily RV camping, but we set our tent up on the end of the large paved parking pad. This also allowed us to cook out on the grill/fire pit without smoke going right at our tent. Again, even with a pretty full campground, people were respectful of each other for the most part and kept noise levels down. We enjoyed the lake being at our toes, and amenities of Old 86 location include nice bathroom, showers, fishing, and roped swimming areas in Table Rock. Our childrenloved to catch crawdads/crayfish and enjoy the water. Small playground and basketball hoop available, and some great walking areas. Hook-ups for water and power were convenient and easily accessible. Our biggest challenge was trying to drive tent stakes into the ridiculously rocky Ozarks dirt, so we resorted to tying our tent lines around heavy rocks found nearby. In October, the Fall leaves were turning brilliant colors. Overall, it was a great experience of camping with family, and we'll enjoy revisiting this one.
Great little camping spot right on the water. RV spots appear to be nice and level(ours, #6, was perfect). We didn't need to adjust our trailer to make it level. Water and power included. There is no sewer at the rv spots, but there is a dump station on site. Lake is gorgeous, and we spent hours and hours in the water. Bring your water shoes. It is rocky on the beach and in the water. There are places for your lawn chairs under the trees and a picnic area. There are no food stores close by, but there are lots of convenience stores. The hosts are excellent and very friendly and helpful. We couldn't have asked for a nicer spot to spend a part of our holiday.
Camp hosting there now. Beautiful campground on a peninsula on table rock lake. All sites can fit large RV's and trailers. All sites 30 and 50 amp service with water. Dump station available. Superb cleaning couple. Books up fast!
Camped here for pretty every year in July 1990s to 2005 as a kid. Lost a lot of charm. I met a girl from Peoria, Ill there during the summers and lost contact.
Nice spots, close to the water. They definitely don't weed eat, mow or maintain the pea gravel around the picnic tables. We love the location close to the water, but the maintenance is lacking a whole lot! Bathrooms are clean, the firepits are cleaned out, but the weeds are taking over.
