Love this park. It’s big with lots of trail and you can throw parties here because there are two gazebos with tables. River is close by, you can go swimming during warmer months.
Beautiful, but the mosquitos were unbearable late afternoon yesterday!
Clean bathrooms Fun play area for the kids A couple of pavilions Nice walks along the Lake if you go down far enough Lots of picnic tables A hidden gem of picnic areas At the time of our visit in May it was Mosquito free. They have cleared out quite a few trees in the area, it should improve unless the weather is hot and water isn't moving. Plan accordingly folks, it is nature. You should have mosquito repellent with you.
If you can beat the mosquitoes in the late summery or humid evenings and follow the locals to a few secret spots you'll definitely find yourself in some places with the potential for fun
It's a very nice place and peaceful .
