TENT CAMPERS Very impressive customer service. We made the reservations online for Loop BF but then moved it to Loop OP due to flooding and called to let me know. When we arrived, they offered to let us pick out whatever available site we wanted from Old Prairie so we picked the one with the least flooding. It ended up raining all day, and since we're tent only, this probably saved us a lot of problems. Shout-out to the rangers for going above and beyond!
Small campsites mainly intended for tents and small trailers. Pads are sand and gravel but have water and power. Most sites have good shade trees.
Camping was pretty awesome here! You must walk up the tower and look around! Don't forget to put away trash and lock down your coolers at night, or the huge racoons will get into them! Enjoy!
Very well kept. Know the outpost is a 3 mile (ish) hike from old prairie campsite. Watch alligators...very scenic area!
