We had a great time here! Live music on Friday and Saturday night. Great hosts! Super fun!
I went camping here about a year ago so my review is a little late but better late than never. Not sure where to start, the owner waited for me and my friends to get there well past midnight which no other place did. The owner is very kind and very passionate about his campground. We came all the way from Lake in the Hills IL and was well worth the drive. I 10/10 recommend this place. Great place and great people!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh and the bathrooms were super clean!!!!!!!!!!
We had a great time! Everyone is incredibly friendly. They had karaoke and a live band on Friday and Saturday night. The owner went above and beyond to make us feel at home and make sure we were comfortable. I definitely recommend this place for a fun place to camp! Thanks Rick!!
The new owner of this campground is awesome! He accommodated me at the last minute for a holliday weekend while working as and adjuster. It's located in a beautiful valley and a forested surrounding. I have not viewed any of the shower rooms, as I have everything in my camper. Local gas stations and shops are not far away at all; less than ten minutes. This weekend, he has a live band going on. The palce is comfortable and safe with extremely fast 5g internet. Yes, I am able to make all phone calls and watch TV with the internet. For me, that is everything due to my job. Nice people and affordable rates!
The bathrooms and shower drove me away. They're very dirty, gross and have lots of water damage. Worse than any gas station or campground bathrooms I've seen. Even nearly all pit toilet bathrooms are cleaner than these. The nearby government owned Massey Marina campground is much nicer and only $5 more ($15 tent site) but doesn't have a laundry washer and dryer. The camp sites are all on open grass with the sites close together and no trees or anything to visually separate the sites. The washer and dryer looked new and were residential models. There were no envelopes available at the self check-in station (be warned: the envelope box is full of wasps) and no one answered at the near by house which I'm assuming is the owner's so that process is awkward. Definitely wouldn't stay here.
