Awesome place to spend the night. Uses a bear hang system and has 4 campsites. The lake has cutthroat in it (we know because somebody else caught some). Easy access to Pitamakan pass from here and it has a little beach access to the lake. It’s cold though!
We started the trail from the North Shore trailhead (Two Medicine), and it was about 7 miles to get to the Old Man Lake. It was WELL worth it. Just beware of huge Grizzly Bears. We were able to spot a few very large tracks north and south of the campground.
Worth the hike! Very hard, but gorgeous. (Pitamakan Loop)
Awesome quite place!
