Great State Park camping spot to Visit White Sands NP. Close enough to Alamogordo for Lunch or Dinner. Electric & Water, Dump Station. Site have a lot of room between.
Really nice Campground. Super friendly host checking reservations and making sure all is well. The showers in the bathroom have hot water. They have water refill areas, dumpster, and dump station. Plus there are a few trails nearby with a beautiful view. Very happy with this tucked away spot!
This is a nice campground with close access to some amazing trails. The staff is very friendly and helpful. My only criticism is that many of the RV sites are extremely out of level. If you're planning a trip here, bring extra leveling blocks like cut 4x4 or 6x6 blocks. You'll need them.
Great location…tucked up right below the Sacramento Mountains with several trails from the park and a quick drive to White Sands NP (30-ish minutes). As of my stay, $10/night (non-electric) and I believe $14/night (w/hookups). Great views and free showers as a bonus. Highly recommend!
Loved this campground. It was quiet, and clean with natural beauty to boot! The Dog Canyon trail was challenging but amazing! Also, really appreciated the desert garden which labeled the plants we were seeing in the area.
