Unsure if you can stay during the winter, but it's a fun road to drive up when it's all snowy! Only saw one other car. It was nice getting this far into the Oquirrh's during the winter, but not sure how the road conditions are shortly after snowstorms, so check the weather if you chose to visit!
Went up Ophir canyon for the first time in May, I was not disappointed. Nice secluded little place. It wasn’t to busy at all. That little creek there was a hit for the kids, just gotta keep an eye on them.
We love Ophir canyon. We haven't ever actually camped here, but we go up regularly for day trips. The water is cool on the feet, the trees are beautiful and the area is fantastic. I highly recommend it.
A hidden gem in the mountains south east of Tooele. I definitely recommend going here with your family and enjoying going back to a simpler time in life.
