Cute campground. First come first serve. No hook-ups, but the sites are nice. They have water spouts, pit toilets. Eric the host was awesome! Only down fall is it's right on the roadway, so it's a little noisy. But $24 a night is much appreciated!! Also fire pits on sites.
So nice that even the very adjacent highway noise isn't a big deal, though you might want to sleep with a white noise app if you're sensitive to that sort of thing. We stayed at the particularly beautiful site 8 adjacent to a ~35' rock wall, which you can climb to the top with a little effort. Site 12 offers the most privacy, also further from the road. New vault toilets and drinking water spigot, scenic and very well maintained. Close to all the area's natural attractions.
Seemed far away from the crowds at Mount Rushmore and Crazy Horse, but was conveniently close. Lots of mosquitoes when we were there, so be prepared. But very beautiful little campground.
Nice campground. No hookups, no dump station, vault toilets. Noisy highway and grumpy camp host. But a nice location. Small spaces, but spaced out away from other pads.
Friendly camp host. Small spot, not very flat. But it had a fire pit, picnic table, and mosquitos. Pit toilet and big trash bins easily accessible.
