Organized Group Tent Campground Introduce

The Organized Group Tent Campground, located in Albrightsville, PA 18210, offers a dedicated space for large group primitive camping within the Campgrounds & RV Parks category. Based on customer reviews, this campground is particularly well-suited for accommodating multiple families, friends, or organized groups such as church groups seeking a secluded outdoor experience in Pennsylvania.

The environment of the Organized Group Tent Campground is described as a "beautiful little place" with "natural sight seeing near by." Its location away from the road provides a safer environment for children to play without the immediate worry of traffic. The campground offers ample space for setting up multiple tents and EZ-ups, as well as designated areas for food preparation and gathering around a large fire ring, fostering a communal camping atmosphere.

It is important to note that the Organized Group Tent Campground is geared towards primitive camping and does not offer on-site showers or proper bathroom facilities. Instead, only porta-potties are available at the group site itself. However, comfortable showers and proper bathrooms can be found near the visitor center, which is approximately a half-hour drive from the group camping area.

In terms of services and features, the campground emphasizes a self-sufficient camping experience. There is no water spigot at the organized campsites, so campers are advised to bring their own bottled water. Water is available at the visitor center for those who bring water containers. Similarly, firewood is not provided at the group site, and campers need to bring their own. A camp store selling firewood and other necessities is located near the visitor center, about a half-mile away.

For added convenience, a Dollar General and a small grocery store are located approximately a 10-minute drive from the campground, providing options for picking up any forgotten items or additional supplies. The area also boasts good signage to help visitors navigate. Nature enthusiasts will appreciate the proximity to hiking trails, fishing spots, and waterfalls, all within a short drive from the campground, offering opportunities for exploration and outdoor recreation.

While this campground focuses on a more rustic group camping experience, its spaciousness, safe environment away from the road, and proximity to natural attractions and essential amenities make it a great option for local users in Taiwan planning a large group camping trip in Pennsylvania. The availability of basic facilities like porta-potties at the group site, coupled with more comprehensive facilities a short drive away at the visitor center, provides a balance of primitive camping with access to necessary conveniences. Remember to bring your own water and firewood to fully enjoy your stay at the Organized Group Tent Campground.

For large group primitive camping, this is a great spot. If you are looking for showers and other amenities, this isn’t the spot. That’s the family camp ground. If you want a spot to bring a bunch of families or friends or a church group (why we came), it’s great. The spot is away from the road, so the kids can play in relative safety without you worrying about them being hit by a stray idiot. There are plenty of spots to set up for making food, hanging out around a huge fire ring, and setting up tents and EZups.

Great little place for some weekend camping. The organized group site DOES NOT have facilities or showers (just porta potties) HOWEVER there are comfortable showers and proper bathrooms around the visitors center just about a half hour away. Bring bottled water, no water spigot at organized camp sites (water available at visitor center if you bring water containers) Bring your own fire wood as well; although there is a camp store, again near the visitor center about a half mile up the road. There's a dollar general and a small grocery store about 10 minute drive away, if you forgot something and need to pick it up. Beautiful little place, with a lot of natural sight seeing near by, decent signage to help you get around. There are hiking trails, fishing, waterfalls near enough by car.

We picked this campsite as an out-of-state scout troop seeking a camp location near the great biking opportunities at Lehigh Gorge. The group campsite we stayed at, "D," has a creek running between the parking area and the campsite. The space was fairly large (the reason we picked it) and has plenty of picnic tables, but in wet or rainy weather you'll need a dining fly (no pavilion) and well-planned routes to water supply, bathrooms, and parking area to account for stream crossing. The group camp is very easy to miss off the highway. Pay close attention to the directions! We would go again, but we would pick a different site if the weather was wet.

Camp site was clean and not too noisy. All the outhouses are grouped in one spot so its a bit of a walk to get to them. No water that I saw so you should bring it.

Park is beautiful and the campsites are pleasant. The bathroom facilities (Portapotties with just hand sanitizer) leave something to be desired.

Plenty of space for our very large group (reserved 5 group sites) for both tents, kitchen and parking. Only wish they'd finally finish the bathrooms we've been watching them work on for years.
