Nice campground. Vault title was mostly clean. Campsites are spaced nicely so you don’t see much of your neighbors. Some sites were a little muddy but it’s camping :-). Most of the campgrounds were not affected by recent fires. However 2 are no in the open due to missing trees. There is a road that goes up the hill that was used an about every hour on the average. So you may hear that noise until 10pm and start up around 6am.
I loved this cute little campground. It's not very big, but there's a recently painted outhouse, the sites are nice, and the little creek running by is too cute! There's no running water, but you can get it at Cottonwood Campground down the road. I loved that it was only $8 per night to camp, with $5 for an extra vehicle. There are a lot of deer in the area, and wild raspberries, serviceberries, blueberries, and wild rose, as well as a few butterflies.
This is definitely a special place to enjoy, please clean up after yourselves! Pack it in pack it out! Winter is still a great time to go have a camp fire and day camp 😁
Night of July 3rd...110 degrees outside...state campground was full...drove five minutes into the forest and found this gem. Temp was cooled by the forest and creeks to 70 degrees (perfect temp) and there was only one other person in the campground. Amazing. Quiet...best night sleep of my life. The only downside is that the water that you have to pump from the ground was not drinkable according to a sign there. Luckily we had enough bottled water to get us through the evening and morning. Otherwise, this is an awesome campground and would highly recommend it to anyone.
Wonderful campground for it's size. Beautiful with a little room between most of the sites with nice tent areas and beautiful scenery. No power or water hookups.
