Orlando / Kissimmee KOA Holiday

We loved staying at this little campground, super cool that the store had lots of camper vehicle supplies, ice cream, and things a camper may need. We stayed in a little cabin, which are situated close enough to the bathrooms. We enjoyed a lot more privacy and security than a hotel. We had a lot of fun around the camp fire! My nephews were disappointed there were no alligators as you may be let to believe by the reading material. Super cool campsite, well maintained, I will be looking for another KOA campsite on other travels. The little kitty on mouse patrol definitely broke into our food though while we went to the restroom. Furnishing were great also, cabin so cute, perfect furnishings inside and out. Restrooms were super clean!

Out of all the KOA, this is one our family loves the most. We've visited four times over the past six years, staying in tents, cabins, and luxury cabins. This time, we stayed for a week. First of all, the location is fantastic, and the staffs are friendly. They also patrol regularly to ensure no unauthorized visitors enter the campground. However, this time we had a disappointing experience. On the first day, we encountered many bugs inside the cabin. We complained to the staff the next day, and they worked to resolve the issue. Despite this, we will definitely visit again.

I’m updating our review from a couple years ago. They have new owners and have really cleaned up the place. The bouncer is new from our last visit so it’s not broken. The whole campground as a whole is so clean. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. They even made sure they knew our names for when we came back in the store.

I always appreciate honest reviews so here is mine: Location - It is conveniently located right off I-4 with a Wawa gas station, Bob Evans and chic fil a within walking distance. There is a Publix within a five minute drive. It is about 14 miles from Disney and 22 miles from Universal. Unfortunately something the campground has no control over is traffic and it is horrendous. We went to universal on a Sunday, Monday and Wednesday and our average drive was an hour and twenty minutes. It didn’t seem to matter what time we left the campground or the parks it was always bumper to bumper the entire way and would keep us from staying here again until the I-4 expansion is complete. Wi-Fi- they have some of the best wifi of any campground we have stayed at. During peek hours it could be a little slow but way better than most campgrounds. Sites - We had a deluxe pull through near the front. It was adequate but nothing special and fairly small. Our site was level but I noticed a lot of them were not so worth checking out especially if you have a diesel pusher like we do which needs a level site. Our neighbor in a big toy hauler had a lot of trouble getting into his site and clipped the water line trying to get in because of how close the sites are to each other. Amenities - They have a nice pool, a great play area for kids and a dog park with a dog wash which was great. You can get sports gear from the store to play some of the on-site games. Bathhouse - Did not use but they appear clean and well kept The staff was friendly and they work hard to make it a pleasurable experience. They can’t control the traffic but the reason we are in Orlando is to enjoy the parks and the drive was borderline unbearable especially after a long day and sitting in insane traffic to get back. We came in the middle of February during probably the slowest time of year. I cannot imagine how bad traffic is in peak season. There are better places to stay closer to the action but it will cost more. In my opinion until I-4 is improved it’s worth the extra cost.

We always stay here with our RV when we visit Florida. We’ve stayed at quite a few KOA locations, but this one is the best by far. The workers are extremely helpful and kind, everything is maintained, cleaned, and organized really well, the sites are great, the location is nearby all tourist areas in the vicinity. We are treated wonderfully by everyone every time my family visits.
