Great experience all around , one of the most friendly places koa related we stayed. The bouncing pad was epic for our son and he had a really great time with the child amenities . We will certainly come back .
Standard large campground. Tucked in a corner right near a very busy interstate 4 interchange. Noise was not a problem, but traffic to get in and out of the campground was as bad as it gets. Staff and service was top notch.
I tried to make a reservation over the phone but got voice mail. I waited 2 hours and by then my family of 4 was already at the campground. She asked what kind of vehicle we had and I said our boat is big enough and it sleeps 5. The lady at the front desk said they don't allow boats. I never saw anything like that on their site so I asked if that is the way all koas work and she said no. She said she would allow one night but then we'd have to leave in the morning. She was very snobbish and looked down on us. I was surprised because we own lots of real estate and she was judging me because we use our 30 foot boat as a camping trailer sometimes. I was considering getting a Koa membership but now we will never spend that night at a Koa. It was so ridiculous 🙄
Friendly staff, clean facilities, cool dog runs for 3 of the outer sites, tight sites for larger rigs, traffic can make Disney a 45 min trip. The small dog run within the site was a life saver! No having g to walk digs 5x a day. This within itself was a HUGE perk amd a reason we would definitely come back. The laundry and pool area were very clean. Trash pick up multiple times a day.. just set it at the curb. We have a 40' rig and it was tight to maneuver in but fine once parked. There is a charcoal grill, a wood burning ing fire pit and a nice size gravel pad that connects to the dog run (about 6x8 feet with cute hydrant and shady dog house). The dog run is on astro turf, so I suggest whipping your dogs paws before they get in camper; I'm unsure if they hose them off between visitors. The ride to Disney was anywhere from 20 to 45 mins. I recommend this spot!
I absolutely would stay here again. I read some previous reviews. I thought the staff was very friendly and very helpful. The campground had a major water break during our visit at 930am. They could only give a 15 min notice. We had to get a hourly rate at the hotel next to us for $57 to take a shower. The campground reimbursed me for it. They couldn't forsee the break and I understood that. Just deal with it and move on. It is next to a new complex being built. But the workers are reasonably quiet and they do not work weekends. You can hear the highway 27 and interstate i4 but we chose this location because it was between family's residents. Also, we are here to go out & do things so we weren't hanging at the camper until night and it really wasnt disturbing. We also traveled with 3 dogs between 45lbs - 85lbs. It is a great place for our dogs as well with the dog park and wash stations. I did see in previous reviews that the dog park was nothing but dirt. It isn't like that now. It's completely covered with grass now. I'm guessing this FL heat and/or recent past drought killed the grass.
