Great fishing. Campground was empty on a Monday to Tuesday. Got colder than expected. Fire pit and site were clean.
Nice but very small campground along banks of the Platte River. All campsites are without shade trees. Great place for swimming, fishing or tubing. Not an issue for me but couldn't get mobile signal here or hardly any place along the river. The other campers were all friendly and considerate with music, pets and then kids.
My family and friends have been enjoying Osprey Campsite since the 1980's. It has changed over the 40 years. It's still a perfect campground with no shade.
This is a great area to camp for a couple of days. The camp hosts are friendly and maintain the area well. Overnight camping is $22 and a day pass is $10, it isnt terribly busy outside of holidays. My son caught a brown trout here!
flat and open area. was only here for day use to access the river and it was fine. no shade anywhere but lots of picnic tables. bring your own canopy or hang out by your car.
