We visited Otter Lake for the first time over the past Columbus Day weekend; we lucked out grabbing 2 sites (separate but close) in August. We traveled with 4 adults and 3 kids between the 2 sites. The resort is very family friendly with a clean and well kept playgrounds, fields and courts. Bathrooms are dated, but clean and well maintained. Some loops have spacious sites with more seclusion, most are tight and you're pretty close to your neighbors. Our kids loved swimming at the indoor pool, dancing at the DJ party and fishing on the docks. The staff and other campers were very welcoming and friendly; definitely a lot of seasonal sites, but most were well kept. The pricing is a bit steep, but with all the amenities and demand for sites, it's understandable. We already booked again for Columbus Day Weekend 2025 and we look forward to another great visit!
Had a great stay here. Came during the end of the season. Lots of wildlife. I loved it. My only complaint was that the outdoor pool was closed. The indoor pool was open though. Bring quarters if you want to use the sauna or turn on the hot tub jets. We stayed in the T loop and were in the only spot that had full hookups. This ended up being fabulous because it was completely empty during the week. Plenty of room for our cat to explore. The WiFi was also reliable. Laundry was $2 to wash, $2 to dry.
We thought this campground was amongst the best we’ve ever been to. It’s got a beautiful lake a decent size store. Paddle boats and boats. The sites are large and well maintained. Hook ups were all in good working order. Lots of trees so you really feel like you’re camping in the woods. It’s a little far north of Stroudsburg so you have to keep running back-and-forth if you wanna go to anything local because there’s not much around. I could’ve done with a few less political signs on the campsites. Camping should just be about Camping and not politics. Large indoor pool with two hot tubs!! But other than that, I can’t say enough good things about this Campground ⛺️👍🏻👍🏻
The campsites were really nice, restrooms and showers were always well kept! Unlike many other places I've been Otter Lake hands down was top 3! There are plenty of things for the family to do from playgrounds, lake views, and swimming to indoor pool. This is a must visit if you're camping in tents.
First time at this campground. All workers are nice and helpful. Campground has a nice amount of sites and they do not feel too close. Nice mix of seasonal and non-seasonal campers. There are peacocks onsite and you can fish in lake without a license as it is catch and release.
The location is beautiful. A couple of spots had long-term or seasonal campers (not sure which) and had some old rv's with added porches and personal junk all over the site. It's just a total eye sore. It's very unfortunate considering the price you pay here. Even still, I suggest staying lakefront if you can. Quiet time wasn't until 11 p.m., so I had to listen to obnoxious and totally unnecessary screaming most of the night from kids. Bathrooms were clean, and there was always staff driving around, which was good.
This is without a doubt the number 1 campground in the Poconos. We've been to a ton of campgrounds renting campers over the years, Otter Lake is by far the best. Remember the days of riding your bike all day and being back when the street lights came on? This is still that place.
Old school campground with a modern feel!! Beautiful grounds, clean, and plenty to do or just relax by your fire! I have been going here for over 30 years!!!
We visited friends who were tent camping at Otter lake twice. All the staff was very kind and helpful, and many even seemed upbeat which was wonderful. The pools and play equipment were well maintained and the bathrooms were clean and even smelled fresh. The lake is nice and we got to see an eagle swoop down and get a fish! People drive slowly and kids are seen biking all over. The area allotted to each campsite seems larger than some other campgrounds and well shaded.
