Outdoor Adventures Campground Introduce
Hello, fellow Wisconsin outdoor enthusiasts! If you're on the hunt for a unique and perhaps unconventional camping experience in our beautiful state, you might have heard about Outdoor Adventures Campground in Neillsville, WI. This destination aims to offer a variety of ways to enjoy the Wisconsin wilderness, from traditional camping to more unique accommodations, catering to different preferences for an outdoor escape.
Outdoor Adventures Campground presents itself as a place where you can find your perfect niche for an outdoor adventure. Whether you're seeking a cozy spot for a romantic getaway, as one reviewer noted about their "cozy camper," or looking for a base for longer seasonal stays, this campground aims to provide options. Its location in Neillsville places it within Central Wisconsin, a region known for its natural beauty and opportunities for outdoor recreation.
However, it's important for Wisconsin locals to approach Outdoor Adventures Campground with a clear understanding of what to expect, as experiences can vary. While some visitors have reported having an "absolute awesome time" in a "cozy camper" for a romantic escape, other reviews highlight significant concerns regarding infrastructure and management. This candid overview aims to provide you with all available information, allowing you to make an informed decision about whether this campground aligns with your vision of a Wisconsin outdoor adventure. It underscores the importance of direct communication with the campground to confirm current conditions and amenities before your visit.
Outdoor Adventures Campground is located at W8355 US-10, Neillsville, WI 54456, USA. This address places it directly on U.S. Highway 10, a major route that traverses Central Wisconsin. This location provides relatively easy accessibility for many residents across the state, whether traveling from larger urban centers like Madison or Milwaukee, or closer communities such as Eau Claire or Stevens Point.
The fact that it is situated directly on a U.S. Highway means that the campground is likely easy to find and reach, with straightforward road access for various types of vehicles, including RVs and trailers. Neillsville itself is a small city in Clark County, known for its rural surroundings and access to outdoor activities like ATV/UTV trails, snowmobiling, and fishing in nearby lakes and rivers. This regional context suggests that the campground, despite its specific challenges highlighted in some reviews, is situated in an area rich with opportunities for exploration for those who are prepared for self-guided adventures.
While the physical address makes it accessible, the "total disaster" and "no water" comments in reviews point to potential on-site accessibility challenges related to utility services. This is a critical factor for campers to consider, especially for those relying on specific hookups or facilities. It's highly advisable for anyone planning a visit to contact the campground directly to confirm the operational status of all amenities, particularly water and electricity, as reviews suggest these have been inconsistent. Understanding the exact state of facilities upon arrival is crucial for planning a comfortable and safe camping experience at this specific location.
- Campsites (including seasonal options).
- Camper rentals (e.g., "cozy camper" for romantic getaways).
- On-site "dive bar" (note: reviews mention concerns about liquor permits and food violations).
- Fire pits at sites.
- Potential for new water lines being installed (as per reviews, though depth/legality raised as concerns).
- Some sites may offer electricity (reviews indicate past issues with power outages).
- Outhouse facilities (reviews mention issues with power and maintenance).
- Cozy Camper Rentals: One positive highlight mentioned by a reviewer is the availability of "cozy camper" rentals, described as "great for a romantic getaway."
- Seasonal Sites: The campground offers seasonal sites, catering to campers looking for a long-term base (though pricing and value are subject to dispute in reviews).
- On-Site Bar: Features an on-site bar for adult relaxation (however, serious concerns regarding liquor permits and food violations have been raised in reviews, warranting caution).
- Fire Pits: Campsites are equipped with fire pits for traditional campfire experiences.
- Located on US-10: Easy access from a major highway in Central Wisconsin.
- Proximity to Neillsville Area Activities: Surrounded by opportunities for outdoor recreation typical of Clark County, such as ATV/UTV trails, snowmobiling, and fishing (these would be external to the campground itself).

Given the serious concerns raised in customer reviews, it is extremely important for anyone considering a stay at Outdoor Adventures Campground to contact them directly using the provided phone numbers. It is advisable to inquire about the current status of all utilities (especially water and electricity), the operational status of all facilities (including the bar and restrooms), and to verify any applicable permits or certifications. Direct communication is essential to ascertain if the issues reported in reviews have been resolved before making any commitments.
For Wisconsin locals considering Outdoor Adventures Campground in Neillsville, the suitability of this location truly depends on individual expectations and tolerance for rustic, potentially challenging conditions. On one hand, for those seeking a highly minimalist, "roughing it" experience, or specifically interested in the "cozy camper" for a romantic, self-contained getaway as described in one positive review, it might present a unique option. Its location on US-10 offers straightforward access, placing it within reach of broader outdoor activities in the Neillsville area, such as ATV/UTV trails and fishing, which could appeal to adventurous locals who use the campground merely as a base.
However, it is crucial for locals to be fully aware of the significant and serious concerns raised in multiple detailed reviews. These criticisms, including reports of "no water," "no electricity for 2 weeks" in the past, unmaintained sites, alleged illegal utility installations, and issues with permits and food violations at the on-site bar, paint a picture of operational instability and potential unreliability. Claims of being "untrustworthy" and "on the verge of having power shut off again," along with disputes over owed money, are red flags that cannot be overlooked.
Therefore, while the concept of "Outdoor Adventures" might sound appealing, potential local visitors must exercise extreme caution and conduct thorough due diligence. This campground would only be suitable for a very specific type of local camper who is prepared for a highly self-sufficient experience, has no reliance on campground utilities or services, and is willing to accept a high degree of uncertainty regarding facilities. For the majority of Wisconsin locals seeking a reliable, comfortable, and well-managed camping experience, the issues detailed in the negative reviews suggest that Outdoor Adventures Campground, as described by those experiences, may not align with typical expectations for a stress-free and enjoyable outdoor escape. Direct, recent communication with the campground to verify the current operational status of all facilities is an absolute necessity before any visit.

Had an absolute awesome time.. stayed in a cozy camper great for a romantic getaway..
It's memorial day weekend still no water. They are putting new water lines only 2 feet deep I'm sure this is illegal. Owes me money and doesn't want to pay. They are very untrustworthy. The campsite is a total disaster. Seasonal sites are $1900.00 not worth it. Last year they didn't pay there electric bill campsite had no electricity for 2 weeks. They have there dive bar open with no liquor permit. There are many food violations happening inside of that bar. Won't turn the power on in the out house. Probably on the verge of having power shut off again.I don't recommend anyone staying there even as a last resort. The owner's owe myself $1900.00 they are not responding. Going to take them to small claims court.
Plenty of treed campsites, but this is predominantly an RV park that caters to the ATV aficionado. We were tent camping and had a great time! Very clean and modern (for a campground) bathroom facilities with pay showers. $1.00 = 7 minutes. Plenty of time for the average adult. They sell firewood and ice right on site and both are incredibly cheap by today's standards. One $8.00 bundle of wood lasted us nearly the entire weekend. And bags of ice were just $2. The only reason I did not rate this as a 5-star site is due to the loudness of all ATVs, even at low speeds, constantly coming into and going out of the campground. But they were all very respectful of the posted speed limits and were all very friendly. Too bad I didn't have an ATV of my own! Lots of fun to be had!
Owner lied to me on phone when making reservation. Told me we have a restaurant and bar on site. They dont. 45 bucks per night. We left after the first night to go elsewhere. Electric box cover feel off when i touched it. Water didn't work. Shower wouldn't work had to get owner to turn it on. Water was scalding hot when it did come on. Owner still charged for 2 nights. No one camping there, plenty of room so they didn't turn anyone away because of our reservation. I will say they were nice enough but takes more than apologies to make up for the shortcomings of this campground. This place was empty for a reason. Camp ground down the road (snyders) booked solid, packed full. Avoid this place at all costs.
They are the most kind friendly people around. This place is absolutely amazing. A cute little getaway with amazing food and amenities. I would recommend this place ten fold. I cant wait to go back. I cant wait to see the updates! My family and I felt like we had known Brian and Sandy our whole life! Clean bathrooms and nice hot showers. Close enough to town but yet nice and quiet. Great access to the atv trails as well. I love this place!!!
