Lovely place to camp. The river is fresh and sounds so calming. There are outhouses and bins, and a bear cache. TP was topped up while we were there ๐ the only downside is that the mosquitoes are truly intense, you need good bug spray and a prepared mind, but it's worth it
Great little nook to camp. Campsite are fairly separate from one another. Outhouse were very clean. Lakes to do water fun close by but beautiful Creek to wade in.
Good spot, not to far from Pemberton. We had spot #6 which was in a nice little clearing if you prefer some sky and less shade. Spot #8 looked like a good secluded one near the river but it was already taken. The river was really high when we went in May, so it was pretty loud. If you are a light sleeper, a spot a bit back from the river might be better. Tip, if you don't want to get yelled at, remember to drive slowly through Mt Curry. You could buy firewood from the family just across the street from the main road when turning into the campground.
Owl creek rec site is nice but the turn around spot is atrocious and dangerous. This campsite gets very full very quickly and the last campsite doubles as the turnaround spot. This is especially dangerous during the evening when itโs dark and/or when one or multiple LARGE vehicles, RVs, trailers, etc. are trying to do the song and dance of trying to get around each other on a single lane road with what amounts to no turn around space. The Province needs to implement significantly better signage to alert to this problem / danger or should remove that final campsite altogether and restructure for use as a parking or turn around area.
We had a great spot by the river. It was quiet and fairly clean. Make sure you bring bug spray, the mosquitos were out in force this July!!
