Very nice Campground with large spaces. Park was quiet and a great outdoor experience. So great to sit around the camp fire with friends and enjoy the wild life. Truly a memorable experience.
Clean and well spaced camping sites. Beautiful setting with sunny or shaded sites. Full hookup, electric and water, or just electric sites available. Lots of long asphalt parking pads can accommodate big rigs.
One of several sites at South Marcum. We like site 13 as it’s right across from the sidewalk that goes over to Beaver Lodge campground. The far side of Beaver Lodge is a path that goes down to the lake. Dogs love to wade down there in the lake as there is a place where boats are moored for campers in these campgrounds. Rend Lake is a beautiful place. Many many miles of paved walking/bike riding trails. Very beautiful. Couple bars on Verizon at this site, you can scroll but streaming might be difficult.
Owl's Roost is a delightful section of the South Marcum Campground (managed by the US Corps of Engineers) full of perfect spots for RVers and tenters alike. The grounds were beautifully manicured and super tidy. Each site, superbly maintained, included a solid picnic table, fire pit and, depending on need, electric, water and sewer connections. The facilities, some just private toilets and sinks as well as others with rows of sinks and showers including changing spaces, were immaculately clean. There are beautiful vistas of the lake and there is a boat ramp for those who want to enjoy motoring on the lake and/or fishing. There are deer wandering around the grounds adding that extra charm. We are definitely going back there and savor more of what the Campground has to offer. A must go to place! We loved it!
South Marcum COE campground. Stayed for the weekend...no issues with the site or staff. 0-1 Bar of T-Mobile (600mhz band)
