We only stopped by for a short time on our way through. However, it was absolutely beautiful! Unfortunately, most of the buildings were closed for the season, but from the outside, everything looked very well kept, and the paths were nicely maintained. We can't wait to go back during the regular season and check it out more!

Great spot for hiking through the trails and seeing picturesque sights. The gift shop has some cute items at reasonable prices, and the restrooms were very clean. I enjoyed reading all the information about types of trees and wildlife posted throughout. There's also benches readily available for those who need breaks.

We visited recently with our scout group. The park ranger was AMAZING! Very knowledgeable and was wonderful with the kids. He's definitely an asset to this program! The visitors center has gotten some wonderful and new updates, with more coming! The outlook is just a short walk from the visitors center and boasts a beautiful, picturesque panoramic view! We were supposed to do the Turkey Trail however, it had rained overnight and we opted for the Outlook Trail. It was very nice with lots of nature and history! Free parking, restrooms on site are clean and water fountain available should you need it. This is a pet-friendly property! There's a gift shop in the visitors center also, although he did not go in it. See this place in all the seasons, and you're sure to add this to the list of the most beautiful spots in Pennsylvania!

The outlook is a short walk from the visitors center and provides amazing views!!! Restrooms are pretty clean. The water fountain has pretty good cool water. The Turkey Trail to the right of the outlook winds you down to the bottom of the canyon. Along the way, there are a few waterfalls that are accessible off the trail. Also multiple benches and lookout spots to rest. Pet friendly- Saw some dogs walking with their owners on leash.

If you've been to the Grand Canyon in Arizona, this may not meet your expectations. Vastly different, well forested, vs well lots of rocks. The Grand Canyon of PA has much to offer. Clearly, the size of the parking lots would indicate a lot of people were up for an outing close to nature. Lots of people today enjoying the vibrant fall colors. There are lots of opportunities to learn about the formation of the area. The effects of commercial logging on the valley and surrounding area. There were information boards explaining about the wildlife in the valley. One surprising element of our visit was one of the Rangers who is a lisenced trapper displaying fur pelts and educating park visitors on the importance of maintaining balance in a natural environment that has been distributed by man's development.
