What a memorable and wonderful place. I grew up coming here every summer with family and even with friends when I got older. This place puts military familys first. They are kind and considerate. Walking or short driving distance from a quiet and beautiful beach. Great Cafe and diner. You can rent lots of things from bikes to beach activities. They have a movie theater, bowling ally, Whale watching tower, playground, and bonfire pit. The homes are cozy, spacious, and perfect for large familys (or small!) Many MANY memories here. I will always be grateful for this place.

The staff at the Resort were very friendly and helpful. We went for New Years Eve and the restaurant staff were awesome, food was so good and fast. We stayed in a cabin and the views are beautiful, the cabin was clean. Compared to an airbnb, it doesn't have all of the extras, but it has basic needs like towels, dishes, blankets, etc. Overall great stay. We went to Seabrook and I wasn't impressed. It had Stepford Wives vibe. I like old school surf town vibes which is what Pacific Beach is.

This is my third time staying at the rental houses and I have also stayed at the campground in the past. It never disappoints, the houses are spacious, quiet, have a great view and are very kid friendly. The houses do not have in-unit laundry, but there is a laundry facility near by. There is a fire pit but no outdoor grill, and the backyard is great for kite flying! You are only a quick drive (~1-2min) or walk (~5-15min) from the beach access if you stay in the houses, and a short walk if you’re staying at the campground. The gift shop in the main office has great souvenirs, and the staff is helpful and kind. The beach is beautiful and great for beach combing. A great location for clamming when it is the right season. HIGHLY recommend!

Pacific Beach Resort is located on a bluff overlooking the ocean, beautiful views of the ocean, beach, and sunsets. A short drive takes you to the beach. We stayed in a pet friendly, King Suite in Building #113, the Sea Breeze, which is separate from the hotel. The suite was very well furnished and clean. And as a suite, the sitting / dining area and bedroom are separated. However, the building is not attractive and very outdated. The hallway and hallway rest rooms especially need renovation. And there was a very unpleasant, musty scent in the hallway. We were disappointed with housekeeping. Upon leaving our suite late morning, we met the housekeeper in the hallway. After a brief chat about dogs, I clearly stated we were leaving for the day and she could clean our suite. To our surprise, when we returned late afternoon we found the suite had not been serviced. I contacted the front desk receptionist. Since it was too late in the day, housekeeping was no longer available. Another surprise was the cafe was closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. When I made our 2-day reservation by phone directly with the resort, I specifically asked if there was indeed a restaurant at the resort as advertised. I received a confirmation but not told the cafe was closed on the days of our reservation. The town of Pacific Beach has no services except for a gas station and a pub. Fortunately, only a few miles down Rt 109 is the resort town of Seabrook which has a few restaurants and a small, grocery market. Except for these communication issues, we enjoyed our visit along the Pacific Coast and plan to return. Next time we'll leave the dog at home and try out the hotel or maybe a cottage, which look very nice, and be sure to stay on days the cafe is open.

Property is showing its age but it doesn't take away from the experience. Always calm and relaxing with respectful minded guest. We always love the selections of the gift shop. We hope that one day the bowling alley will re open and that they will bring breakfast back! Rooms are are a fair price and have always been well maintained and clean.
