The staff was exceptional with handling our needs. We were located beside our camping buddies even when the reservations weren't placed at the same time.We were able to extend our stay with no hassle. Always happy and friendly even when I went to the office at closing. The restrooms are exceptional. Truly a wonderful campground.
If the park is full, it's too crowded for my taste (only about 8 to 10 feet of space between parking spots). To be fair, we camped over the New Years holiday, so lots of families camped (with lots of kids test driving their Christmas gifts...Scooters, electric cars, bicycles, skateboards, etc.). Overall, the grounds were clean and plenty of amenities, and right next to the Oceano Dunes.
Wonderful location. Super nice staff. Very accommodating. Coming back every year now. Spots are really tight. They allow free package delivery which is WONDERFUL and should be the norm for all RV campgrounds, but sadly is not. They are an exception here.
We just drove across the country from NY as we are moving to the central coast. When we arrived after 6 days of driving, our property still wasn’t ready to close. We had our motor home full of dogs, all of our belongings and 5 vehicles. We booked Pacific Dunes Ranch last minute, literally the same day, and stayed for about 2 weeks until we could figure out our property. Our rv spot was awesome, plenty of room for our motor home, 2 vehicles, picnic table and fence we set up for our dogs. We were able to park all of our vehicles in the main parking lot as well. There are so many area to walk pets, we loved walking over to the horses! The shower and bathroom was amazing, super clean. So many cute sitting areas outside and an easy walk to the dunes. The staff here is incredible, they really saved us during this difficult time. They were so accommodating and understanding to our situation. I would 100% recommend this amazing resort and I can’t wait to come back- for a vacation this time!
After having a mostly enjoyable time at this location with mostly friendly staff the trip was very much hurt by one particular staff member. A very mean rude lady with very short dark hair and glasses ( describing because I didn't catch a name). It was like this : the parks nightly sites were nearly empty, we were running a bit late because of an accident. My young sibling traveling with us who is on the spectrum was loading into the truck, accidentally knocked over a big tumblr of coffee, and a half gallon jug of water. This took quite some time to cleanup leaving us running about 15 min past checkout. When this mean rude and lack of grace having lady pulls up on her golf cart, loudly calls the office to announce we are late checkout and to be charged a $30 fine. I am crumbling at this point from having a bad morning obviously this tips me over the edge. After asking her to have some grace with us seeing that the park is empty she was extremely disrespectful and rude. I went to the office to explain the situation with hopes that they would not charge us another $30 after the awful morning, and rude experience. I was told by the desk lady she understood. I thought that meant we wouldn't be charged and could leave. The rude lady comes in and is telling the desk lady to charge us and was again being TERRIBLY nasty to me and even rolling her eyes. I mean come on. So hurtful, rude and disrespectful. This person has absolutely no business working in hospitality or customer facing rolls ever again. I am so hurt by this. After leaving about a week later we noticed we did infact get charged the $30. Which really hurts. I wish people would have a shred of empathy these days but apparently that was too much to ask. Will never stay at a place that allows this much disrespect to humans in general let alone struggling and paying customers. therefore we will not be back. And I urge you to please deal with this disaster of an attitude problem you have on your hands. This incident happened back in late june. I am obviously still disappointed in the way I was treated during a hard time. Do BETTER. The actual manager whom was not there that day but we did meet earlier in the week was very nice. There was also what appear to be maintenance or cleaning staff that were also very kind.
