I wish I had a chance to actually write a review. My husband and I have been trying to get in touch with the campground for 4 weeks. I sent in 2 reservation requests. Called three times but they do not check voicemail and do not answer the phone. I never received a response regarding my reservation request. Went to their facebook page to find out that they are open until November 1st. That answered my question. We can't get a reservation because we were requesting later in November. It would have been nice to get a response instead of being ignored.
Camping spots were VERY small, and there was no room for my tow unit. The sewer hookup was behind my camper. Even if I wanted to have a campfire, there was no fire ring or room for one. Shared water spigot with my neighbor. Had to move picnic table and big sticks before we backed in. We were across the street from a lot of full- time campers, who also had to park on the street, so back-in was difficult. Nice pool, and mini-golf. Staff was friendly, not sure about the other campers around us.
We come here once a year and usually everything is great. Not this year! After making a reservation 5 months in advance someone decided to move us from site 31 to a seasonal site, #20. Wouldn’t have been too bad except when the seasonal site was vacated nobody cleaned it up. There was pieces of glass and decking screws laying around and it turned into a mud pit with the rain. At least if you’re going to rent it out clean it up first! Very disappointed!!!
Sites are cramped. Called and was told only 25% full!!!! So… Asked for a QUIET site… and the young girl not only put us up front by the playground but also right next to a buddy site that was over-full with 2 families’ huge campers camping and all their stuff and 3 vehicles, encroaching on our site. They had 6 other empty sites she could have assigned us that were at the far end of the park and quiet. Instead… We got to have kids running thru our site all night and the neighbors yacking it up PAST the quiet time and their campfire smoke wafting into our camper because they were so close to us. Absolutely no call for that! Our worst experience at a campground in 30 years. LISTEN TO YOUR CAMPERS REQUESTS JEEZ!
Very nice place and people But we couldn’t enjoy the outside at all because of thousands of gnats! They need to spray and treat the area. We stayed in our camper for three days. Sorry for the rating but people need to know they are infested.
