By far the BEST stop yet on our cross-country adventure period! Now, we had been on our longest day of travel yet since we got our RV and we're beyond tired, road, weary and dying to relax. So, we pulled up on the KOA Palm Springs-Joshua Tree. Now mind you, we did NOT have a reservation, and it was after midnight when we got to the park. However, an awesome employee named Erica was MORE than HAPPY to accommodate us. We got the most adorable little sight and finally got to relax. I can’t express enough how friendly everyone was, from the guests to the Staff. My only regret was not getting the chance to experience the amazing hot springs pool or hot tub. In fact, we enjoyed our stay so much so that we actually turned around vs going straight to Hollywood, and are going back to stay a few more days. I will update my review more after i've had the full experience including the pool/hot tubs. However, I can say with 0 hesitation that this is probably one of the most relaxing, clean, friendly and enjoyable R. V parks that we've been to on our trip from Louisiana to California. We had 1 little snafu at the park, but another employee named Paula was a huge help in sorting everything out. Sent from my iPhone
We really enjoyed this KOA. If you have a van, it's kind of fun to select their option for vans and small campers. It created a little fun community when we were there. Bathrooms were decent, although the timer on the light could be longer. The staff were polite and kind.
The KOA is a good facility and very close to Palm springs and Joshua Tree National Park. They are kid friendly with a pool and play area. There is a dance room and a billiards room as well as a mini golf. The kids had fun. The one concern is the cleanliness of the toilets and showers. It is not cleaned daily so it is smelly to use. Based on the cleaning log, it is done every 3 days. For a 100+ tent/RV site, cleaning restrooms must be at least twice daily. If that is taken care of this place will get a 5 ⭐.
Nice quiet KOA. Close-ish to Joshua Tree and Palm Springs. Great base to head in any direction if you want to leave the campground. The hot spring hot tubs were nice. 3 tubs of differing heat. Nice large pool that I didn’t use. Great selection of different types of sites for TT, MH, vans and tents. Would recommend and come back again.
Great friendly staff at check in who were very accommodating with a couple requests. Good campground for families with kids, lots for them to do. Nice pool and hot mineral pools although the pool bathrooms are dated and old and need a remodel/update.
