Nice campground! Large campsites with fire ring and table. The bathrooms are clean and have flush toilets. Good drinking water available. Some of the sites had views of the lake. Plenty of big pine trees for shade. The sites are not very private, but far enough apart. Close to the lake and convenience store.
The host is so friendly and helpful. Making reservations is almost mandatory these days. Popular campground. Lower numbers are double spots with a view of the lake. We had this double spot #4
We have caught nice trout salmon hibrid from the lake. No need for fishing license, no fishing fee; we just paid around $19 per night for a car at the nearby camping site.
Had ~25 people in one of the group sites for a family reunion. Plenty of space for tents and activities. We set up some extra tables for food prep and serving, but the 3 tables in the site would be sufficient for most outings. Lots of good trees for shade and hammocks (we had about 6 up). Nice to have flushing toilets and running water. There is a general store and small restaurant 2 minutes down the road.
The location is tucked in a setting like Walden in a remote no cell phone service scenario that brings you in touch with nature how it should be. They take reservations which is awesome and there is a little service area outside the camp less than a quarter mile that you can buy food and gasoline for fair prices. The people are extremely nice and helpful. Needless to say when you get further past the camp ground there is cellphone service but would advise a map. Loved this place and would rrcmend this place to all ages.
