The camp host was incredibly strict. If you want someone checking in and enforcing sound limits (day or night) and music/projector screen use then you’d enjoy these grounds (I can understand that some people would genuinely appreciate this). But if you’re wanting a private, chill campground or one that is large group-friendly this is not the one. Part of our camping ritual is watching movies with our two kids at night on the projector screen. We are very mindful about sound projection and kept volume low but the camp host insisted “lights out at 10pm” despite both neighbors letting us and the camp host know they are completely fine with us watching it later and we couldn’t even finish a whole movie since sunset in the summer is late. Also noticed her cat wandering into the road when we pulled in, but she was sure to tell us we need to keep our dog leashed (we always do) but seemed a bit hypocritical. Creek nearby was cute but not deep enough to swim in but great for a cold plunge dunk. Really liked that you can have campfires but the camp host was enough to deter us from ever coming back.

My stay was quiet as there were many empty, but reserved spots. The sound of Panther Creek was very pleasant and the sun was peeking through the thick forest. My camp spot was ample with a firepit and table. The camp pad was large. There are only vault toilets, don't forget wipes and hand sanitizer. The camp host was very pleasant, respectful, and helpful. I enjoyed the peace of no cell service, Panther Falls is about 4.5 miles from the campground, and other neighboring hikes.

We reserved several dates for tent camping over the summer. Our first stay was pretty good with no issues other than excessive rain. There is no cell service which didn't bother us, it was nice to teach the kids old fashioned ways of doing things. The host person checking sites was nice and friendly with lots of information for first time guests. The drive is far if you don't live in southwest Washington. We wish there was closer campgrounds with similar pricing near the Vancouver, WA area which we have yet to find.

My family’s been coming to panther creek for the last 7 years and have always enjoyed it, however, a host can definitely make or break the experience. The previous host (Jeff) was fantastic. This years a little different. Be prepared for all the new rules and expectations. New host will come around 5+ times a day with new rules each time. Hardly time to relax without hearing another rule. And if you have dogs be prepared for a lecture because she has a cat you’ll hear it a few times. Felt like she was in a babysitter club or something. It was alright at first but got to the point where staying there wasn’t even enjoyable because the amount of times she stopped at everyone’s camps. Petition to bring Jeff back lmao.

Nice, basic campground near an accessible creek. Vaulted toilets are clean. Angela was a great host giving us recommendations for nearby hiking and waterfalls.
