Paradise Park Campground, known officially as Paradise Park Resort, stands as a highly-rated and popular destination within the Campgrounds & RV Parks category. Located in Old Orchard Beach, Maine, this resort-style campground offers a comprehensive and vibrant outdoor experience, particularly appealing to families and couples seeking a blend of natural tranquility and lively seaside entertainment. It is distinguished by its extensive amenities, diverse accommodation options, and exceptional proximity to one of Maine's most iconic beach towns.
Paradise Park Campground is situated on forty beautifully wooded acres, providing a tranquil country setting that offers a welcome contrast to the bustling nearby beach and town. The sites are described as clean and nicely wooded, offering ample shade for most campers. A significant natural feature of the campground is its very own 5-acre bass pond, which adds to the picturesque environment and offers recreational opportunities. The resort's location is a major highlight: it is remarkably close to the heart of Old Orchard Beach, just 800 feet away, and less than half a mile from the water's edge. This allows for an approximate 10-minute walk to the famous pier, shopping, amusements, and seven miles of golden sandy beach. Despite its proximity to a lively tourist area, the campground generally maintains a peaceful atmosphere, particularly during the "off-season" or quieter times. The mix of transient and permanent campsites contributes to a community feel, and the lush foliage and well-maintained grounds enhance the overall visual appeal and environmental quality, as reflected in high Good Sam ratings.

A very friendly atmosphere. Staff is friendly and very accommodating. That's why we come back year after year.
We spent memorial Day weekend here and we absolutely loved it We rented a cabin and it was only $160 for three nights. We loved it here Sam is awesome and everybody else out here is awesome. Don't listen to all the rumors and the reviews that talks negative because we have a wonderful time and we were welcomed by everyone regardless if we were seasonal campers or not
Close enough to Watkins Glen but there were some aspects I wasn’t very happy with as a tent camper. For starters, the campground is also an RV lot for those that move in for the summer, and our tent plot was right next to an RV group doing construction on a deck to their RV. Nothing but banging and drilling until 9pm. Go somewhere else if you’re looking for a peaceful experience. The owner really needs to separate the short term campers from the long term RV areas. Free Wifi is advertised but is only available at or right near the front office/store. Electric is advertised but if you are a tent camper you need a 220 converter. Overall I kind of wish I would’ve stayed somewhere else but will still give some stars for friendly people and location relative to the state park.
Due to a housefire last year, we needed a place to temporary live with the RV camper. It was during a holiday weekend and they managed to squeeze us into a spot. We end up buying another camper from the owner, Sam. We have now become seasonal campers at the park. Hopefully this year we can actually enjoy it and not put it together to live in. Sam has a lot of really good used RVs for sale, especially if you’re handy with tools as they do need a little tender, loving care looking forward for some relaxing moments at Paradise Park campground this summer .
There are still good people in this world. Sam is one of them, and lucky for you, he owns this campground. Not only did Sam stay late to get us a site at his campground after an exhausting day of travel and a miscommunication on the place we originally booked, but he helped us with our hitch on our way out of town. Thankful for the hospitality and the genuine kindness. Definitely recommend this campground as a landing spot to explore the Watkins Glen area!
