🏁 **Introduction / Overview: Camping with an Edge in North Sioux City**
Welcome to **Park Jeff Campground**, North Sioux City’s own unique camping destination that offers far more than just a place to park. Situated in the southeastern corner of the state, right on the border of Iowa and Nebraska, this campground is a dynamic hub of activity, particularly for enthusiasts of **racing entertainment**. While it serves as a convenient stop for travelers, its primary identity is intertwined with the thrilling action of the adjacent Park Jefferson Speedway, making it a vibrant and exciting place to set up camp.
Marketed as a place offering a variety of activities and entertainment, Park Jeff Campground is designed to cater to families and adventurers seeking a stay that combines the great outdoors with robust recreation. It aims to offer a "carefree vacation in the great outdoors" where you can enjoy staff-led activities, relax by the waterfront, or simply walk over to enjoy the races without ever needing to leave the property. With dozens of RV sites, it is set up to be a perfect oasis and a launchpad for your South Dakota adventures.
However, as with any venue tied to high-energy events and a seasonal schedule, the ambiance and state of the grounds can be highly variable. Recent reviews indicate a significant distinction between the promotional material and the current on-the-ground experience for some campers. Visitors should be aware that the primary draw is the **proximity to the race track and the energetic atmosphere** that comes with it, which may sometimes prioritize utility and convenience over traditional, tranquil camping amenities like meticulously manicured grounds and modern bathhouses.

Don’t let the pictures fool you. We liked to never got the mud off our camper. A few sprinkles of gravel in our space. This is a place you go to watch the race and nothing else. No other amenities at all same price as the last campground I left that had pool, doggy park ,nice bath house , great shower, etc.
Don't bother looking at the pictures on their website - false advertising at its finest! The only positive I can say is there are full hookups, and they may have brought in more gravel since some of the previous reviews. The entire place is unkept, with very little grass among the 12" weeds and bare dirt/mud. No picnic table at our site, although there is one IN the pond. No bathroom. No office and no one around for check-in. Unless you're a race fan just looking to do a drunk crawl to a bed after a day at the races, drive on down the road!
Spent one night in back in site #40. Place is fine but not well taken care of. Water was delicious and electricity worked. All sites have sewer hookup. No restrooms. No emergency shelter. Some sort of construction work close by with semis filled with dirt traveling past campground until 8pm
Alex was great to deal with. No frills place and was s great quick stop over. Sites were level and perfect for what we needed.
Stayed here with my 28-foot camper , and the spot was easy to get backed into. It was a little muddy with all the rain, but staff was quick to add gravel and level as needed. Super easy to work with, left early, and was refunded with no hassle. Definitely would stay again.
