Parry Sound KOA Holiday

I’m leaving a 1 star review to maybe help other campers. This campsite is right next to a train track that rumbles and roars through every 40-45 minutes day and night. It blows its horn 13 times each trip through because it’s starts blowing it’s horn at each crossing it crosses. You can actually feel the rumble in the tent sites. When the issue was brought up upon our arrival it was downplayed. If you read other reviews take heed. This is not a minor disturbance but an all day all night occurrence disturbing any and all thought of a peaceful or quite vacation or sleep. We let staff know we were not happy and would be leaving and asked for a refund. NO REFUND !! Policy says 48 hr cancel before arrival. It would have been wonderful if the website were honest about the noise of the train or if I had telepathy and knew before hand I would never have booked. FOR ANYONE WISHING TO STAY HERE BEWARE!!!! Don’t book for more than one night because they will not refund you, but will offer you a free scoop of ice cream if you leave a good review. Notices are on the door in the bathroom. Find a peaceful campsite elsewhere.

We can’t say enough positive things about this park! The sites and park itself are beautiful, peaceful, quiet, and with lots of trees, giving it a lovely northern feel. The park has lots of trails to explore, a nice heated pool (my kids are swimming in 15 degree weather), and lots of fun activities for kids! The service is outstanding! They are very accommodating, friendly, and helpful! My husband also wants me to note that the wood from the store is excellent- very dry and burns nicely!! This will be a park we return to!

We just wrapped up an incredible 17-day trip at the Parry Sound KOA, and I have nothing but great things to say about this campground! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the most amazing staff. Everyone was so friendly and professional, making our stay feel like a home away from home. The campground itself is impeccably clean and well-maintained. We loved everything about it! Despite some reviews mentioning the train, we hardly even noticed it. It certainly didn't take away from our enjoyment. I also read some reviews about the washrooms needing updates. Honestly, they were just fine! While they might not have fancy tiles, they were always clean and fully functional, which is what really matters. Parry Sound KOA has now become one of our go-to destinations, and we will definitely be returning. Thank you to the wonderful staff for making our stay so enjoyable. We can't wait to come back!

I stay at a lot of KOA sites and this one is really good. Service is great, the staff are all helpful and the sites are clean. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because there is a train the comes from through every few hours and blows its horn. You actually get use to it, and other than that it is a really quiet campground. The bathrooms are good.

This is a beautiful campground with great amenities. The bathroom and showers were very clean, the pool well kept and the sites are gorgeous. I woke up at 6am and sat close to the forest watching all the different birds and woodland creatures coming out. So I credibly peaceful. Such a great vibe there, everyone camp around us was so friendly and all the staff were extremely welcoming. They had a wonderful pancake breakfast where the proceeds go towards sending children with cancer to camp. They are so amazing here, will be going back for sure!!
