Perfectly good spot to spend a few days. Mainly full timers and quite untidy but everyone was friendly, including Dusty the owner. We felt safe, it was quiet and the price was right.
It’s not really for vacationing. It’s kinda for people that live in RVs or a bus or whatever. There are two full bathrooms with showers but, holy god, they are gross and the floor is very soft like it’s about to fall through at any second. Also, the tub has a crack in it and water just pours through it and onto the awning underneath. I swear to god that I’m not exaggerating. But, if you’re looking for that specific niche, that is the place.
This is more of a camper home park than a normal campground. We booked this for cruisin the coast , site unseen. When we arrived at 230 on a Saturday afternoon, no one was in the office to book us into a site. While it was a clean park as much as we saw, it is not your normal campground. When we booked in late August, Dusty was very friendly.
I’ll say this straight away… if you plan on sleeping in your own RV/camper, do not choose this park. the ONLYYY reason I gave 2 stars is that it’s remote (and ghetto) and they do have public showers (look like they never get clean, smells disgusting) with community washers and dryers. other than that- i was at the park about a month before my “neighbor” showed up to the grounds and parked between me and an older couple. ever since they’ve moved in, i have not been able to get ANY sleep because these people are awake 24/7 blasting music(really is a sketchy park, i do not recommend), so this is now month 2 i’ve had to stay elsewhere because nothing is being done about these kids; even though the cops have been called out there over 5 times for this reason, nothing has changed. i still can’t go home peacefully because their sound system shakes the ground of my RV and the elderly ciull’s as well. may i also add.. we are still expected to pay full in rent and the owner told this elderly man if they’re bothering that much- to just unplug their rig from shore power. the ONLY rule i’ve seen listed is quiet hours are between 10pm and 6am. why put the sign up without enforcing it?? instead.. he’s probably about to lose both of our RVs to different parks. don’t know who is reading this, but this issue is from lot #14. i never ever write reviews. the fact i can’t even sleep where I PAY TO SLEEP just isn’t going to fly w me. i don’t even go to my house because it’s REALLY that annoying. nobody is doing a thing about it. oh well. instead of kicking out the issue.. these two spots are going to stay turning around because there is no possible way to sleep. honestly, i’d give this park a 0 of 5 stars tl;dr i really don’t recommend this park. it is a mess and dealing with this music all the time is too stressful. it’s very ridiculous. sad case.. i genuinely enjoyed staying there until these people moved in. very unfortunate nothing is being done.. you’d think kicking out ppl who can’t follow one rule would by far trump possibly losing the 2 neighbors next to them… and that’s exactly what’s going to happen. also, grass is about a foot tall before anybody cons to cut it… just trust me. do not pick this campsite.
The owner is very nice. We only stayed one day as there was no shade for us and it was beyond hot so we had to find a shaded campground for us. We were also bothered by multiple dogs barking 24/7. No place to stay and put up with that for a month. Lots of long timers staying feel bad for them as their campers are so old and not in good shape yet It's all they have to live in. Sorry it made me sad and it was best to leave.
