Nice BLM 14 day campground. Shelters, fire rings and vault toilet. Can have quite a few hunters in October and November but is otherwise fairly empty most of the year.
Gorgeous free camp spot. Not far off the highway, but far enough you dont hear the traffic (what little there is anyways) i saw a few dead things so beware of nighttime predators. Clean vault toilets and trash cans. Remember to use the trash cans!
This is a nice campground and the gravel road in is in great condition. I agree with all of the positive reviews of the CG however, as of mid-August 2023, the facility needs some maintenance. The vault toilets are disgusting and the gravel areas near the toilets are being overtaken with weeds. Thankfully I did not need to use the CG toilet. This CG was developed for users of the Silver State OHV trail and that's why I was there. Apparently very few people use the trails because they have been reclaimed by nature. I explored all of the trails at this end of the trail system and not one was in even fair condition. Without a good offroad GPS like onX, you cannot navigate the disappearing trails.
Beautiful clean little campground, well maintained, trash & clean restroom, tables, canopies over half the sites, grills & firepits at each site, plenty of room, great mountain views, A Ranger patrolled. There was spotty to zero ATT cell reception for me, otherwise I would've given more stars.
A stunning view for weary travelers. Very happy that we decided to stop.
