It is a nice place . We were happy they made room for us . The price I thought was reasonable. The office is open from 9-5 during the week . There is a laundry with two washers and dryers. They have a restroom with two showers. My husband wished that the shower had more room to put clothes and to be able to hang up bathing supplies. You can buy ice and firewood. The camp sites have picnic tables and fire pits . There are two playgrounds and a swimming pool. There is a pond but you cannot swim in it . The rv park is fairly big with plenty of sites . They have full hook ups and tent camping. The staff was friendly and helpful. It is a nice place to stay . I would definitely recommend this rv park . Rooms =camp sites are very quiet and you are surrounded by trees. We enjoyed our time there.
Was going to enjoy a few days of tent camping, paid for a full week. It rained the first night and all day the second day with 2 additional days of rain in forecast. So I decided to checkout after two days and they still charge me for the full 7 days. People who take advantage like that can't be trusted. Sad that a grown man will take money they did not earn. Shady business.
Update, still pleased with the campground. Came to visit during Memorial Day and had our favorite site. . I had the pleasure of staying here for 4 nights. For some reason I didn't call for reservations until the day of my arrival, but that wasn't a problem. Paul Bunyan Campground was so accommodating and got me a nice cozy spot for my tent. They had clean bathrooms that were obviously cleaned a couple times a day and free hot showers! Some places I've gone in the past had quarter showers that were $5 for 5 minutes! They had a bunch of kids activities, a volleyball net, horseshoes, a clean pool and a playground. On Saturday night they had a potluck dinner followed by an icecream social. Sunday morning there was a pancake breakfast with coffee, juice and applesauce! All for free! I had the best time! The owners were sweet (and staff too) and took time to talk and chat. I really can't say enough. I definitely will be back when I come back in the Bangor area. Thanks Paul Bunyan Campground for making my mini-vacation so comfortable and welcoming!
We decided to try this place as our regular campground was already booked solid and it was a last minute trip. I believe everything happens for a reason and this is now and will always be going forward our "new regular campground!" Super large property very well maintained - lots to do for the whole family. We took a hay ride that evening around the park and enjoyed a delicious complementary pancake breakfast in the morning. The pool was amazing, playgrounds in great shape, showers and toilets (both structures) very clean and working as they should. Very safe property and a great place to bring the kids - we will be back soon.
We just finished a last minute camping trip here and we were highly impressed. The grounds and facilities were very well maintained. Everyone was extremely friendly and there were so many activities. With two playgrounds, a pool and tons of open field our family had lots to do. Highly recommend and will be back!!
