Small but charming campground. Sleep under large redwoods and enjoy close access to many nearby trails. This place is best for the camper who did not reserve a spot. These spots are first come first serve. There is no camp host and limited facilities. You so have a fire pit picnic table and room to park and pitch a tent. There is a small canyon but it’s over grown with so much foliage you can’t really get down to the creek. It’s also close to the road so you will hear cars. Lastly there is no cell service in this spot which is not a bad thing.
Nice first come first served campground. I just stumbled on it, it had open sites on a Saturday in late June. Close to the road, pit toilets were clean.
Great little disbursed campground in the redwoods with grills and restrooms. There is a little creek with tadpoles and small crawfish for the kids to see. Some of the sites are very close to road, which is loud and a bit undesirable at night, but it’s an excellent option in the area on the way to the Mendo coast. Our group was meant to be camping further east but the Dixie fire scuppered that and we had to make an impromptu plan to head to the coast. Luckily there was space here at the height of summer 2021. Restrooms are cleaned in the mornings and have toilet paper. No plumbing or tap water, no cell service. Grills at every site.
Campground tucked near the Navarro River next to CA 128. Beautiful spot surrounded by a wall of Redwoods and native foliage. Affiliated with the State Parks
Good place for day use but no proper restroom.
