This place is a piece of History throughout our lives here when I was a kid my cousin worked there and I would get a free French fry once in awhile the St Joe River twists all throughout their you can rent a canoe nature hikes and walks and just peacefulness and if you traveling great place to park your RV and stay a couple of days as well as parking your motorhome there if you're planning to stay a while . Sometimes the traffic even stops to let the flock of geese cross the road as people watch nature at its finest. If your local you know what I'm talking about if you're a tourist stop and check it out for yourself you will love it!

DO NOT GO TUBING HERE!!!! 7/14/24 this was supposed to be a 3-4 hour trip per their website. It was only roughly a 2 hour or less float. OF ABSOLUTELY DANGEROUSLY dodging trees and branches. One tree was completely covering the river and could of been deadly had you fallen off your tube. You couldn't get off and swim anywhere because the water was so dirty you couldn't see anything under you. And their was no nice spots anywhere to pull off to eat. It was so short you didn't even need a cooler Would never go back. Period Go north

First night staying I was threatened by one of the other campers with a hammer and had to call authorities on him. The owners let him stay. If you’re looking for a safe location to enjoy your time look anywhere else

Fun campground with tent sites on the river, close to south haven, Paw Paw all sports lake with public access, close to I-94, and downtown Waterveliet. Kayak retal and shuttle. Firewood for sale onsite. Showers included in reasonable campsite fees. We liked it a lot.

I have been tubing here for a few years once or twice a summer. I always love it. Sometimes it's a relaxing float and sometimes it's a workout. The river decides that. I just tubed yesterday and it was totally relaxing. If you truly enjoy the outdoors and water, this is the trip for you.
