We absolutely loved the park. The falls and rock features are a major draw if you're wanting to see something different and have lots of pictures when you done. The park is fairly large and pretty remote in terms of peripheral support. The camp sites are nice and decently spaced enough to provide some privacy. Each site has a covered picnic table and a fire ring. We will definitely be back when we can spend a few days to hike all the trails.

This is very good park to plan a day picnic. This park offers various trails easy, moderate and difficult. Some falls are big and different to climb. So, plan your trail accordingly. Also note that this park has per person fee of $6 not per car like some other recreational parks. There wasn't much water in the river in month of December but has small to big pools with clean and clear water for beautiful reflection picture. There is sand beach on one end. The river crossing on second trail is very interesting. Toilets are available at the entrance and at multiple others spots in the parks.

This is one of my favorite spots to visit and hike. On the weekends, plan on getting here early as the crowds are huge. You will also need to make reservations to get in here. I strong suggest mid-week visits.

I camped for two nights at a primitive site. The hike in was 2.5 miles on a very wide and well-marked trail. I hiked Cypress Mill on a Sunday, and it was fairly busy but not crowded. The views of the Texas Hill Country on that loop are phenomenal. The next day, I hiked Juniper Ridge and saw just a handful of folks. That trail is awesome, it follows a ridge line for 9+ miles. On my last morning, I welcomed a Canyon Wren to my campsite and got some great photos. Satisfying vibes!
