I gave 5 stars really had no issues every person i ran into greeted us an was friendly. There was plenty of parking for an extra car. You can tell there is lots of construction which is fine there was just machinery and parts there was nothing going at the time of our stay. It does look a bit run down and even scary to some but let me assure you no one gave us any trouble. It really gave that feel of true living in the keys. We really were just wanting a place to hook up and sleep. A resort was not what we were looking for an Pelican Cay was a perfect match for us. They provided a place to park our RV hook up for couple nights and be on our way. Hands down the quietest place we have camped! We heard nothing but pure silence. Bathrooms an laundry have a code everything was clean. We had an RV so didnt need their showers or restrooms. Wifi was awesome my kids even got some homework done. Humberto helped guide us into our spot and was friendly. I think once all the construction is finished its going to look great! We definitely will be back next year!

Had a one nights experience which lasted only 1 hour. This place is a dump and encourage anyone to stay away. Looked like a junk yard and very tight quarters. We had booked a two-week stay and quickly advised them that we could not stay in this place. No refund has been forthcoming. Please research this place thoroughly before booking. Our stay ended when the neighbors came home and turned up the music and then harassed us saying "oh don't like music". Felt very uncomfortable. This is not a campground, this is a ghetto - don't go there.

Only giving one because I have to. PLEASE listen to the other reviews advising to stay away from here... we didn’t and it cost us. This place is beat up, run down and don’t let them tell you they are rebuilding from the hurricane because we were told by 2 people that were there last year that the place is exactly the same ... run down dump! The on-site manager Beau was drunk when we arrived to check in and asked my husband if he wanted to burn one. The next morning we contacted the owners, they couldn’t care less they weren’t even on-site nor did they make an effort to. Bottom line is don’t let them fool you. We were threatened by Beau with the cops and having our RV towed clearly there is something not quite right there.... *Beware*. We had 3 people come up to us ——apparently the on site manager has a bit of a problem with everyone there and is excluded from things because of his drinking and drugs. They ARE NOT REBUILDING they are a beat up run down, pile of rocks, not worth your time

Went with my wife for a weekend getaway. We had a great time, if you need a relaxing vacation without rush this is a great place. We stayed in the 50' House Boat it was great. We got to fish with the locals at the dock. We took the Canoe before dawn and came back around noonish. Great atmosphere. Say hi to the rooster for me.

Little bit of a sketchy place when arriving at night, we were greeted by "this car doesn't look familiar to me".. (Well that because we just arrived and were looking for a camp site) They require payment upfront which is fine but Susan was hovering over me watching me when I was getting the money from my car. That being said, after we got settled in, she (Susan) was a lot more friendly and so were the other people at the camp site. They have a boat dock that surrounds the camp site but it has definitely seen better days, I would not recommend having little children walking/running on it. Fishing is pretty good from it at night. They have one bathroom for men and another for women. They were OK, it wasn't super dirty nor was it super clean. The ground is hard making it difficult to put tent spikes in the ground so make sure you have a hammer.
