The Environment: Surrounded by Water and Natural Beauty
The environment of Peninsula Campground is inherently defined by its peninsular setting. This means that many campsites are likely to offer stunning views of the adjacent lake, reservoir, or other body of water, with the potential for water on multiple sides. The landscape might include a variety of features such as shoreline access, wooded areas extending to the water's edge, and perhaps more open areas offering panoramic views. The specific types of trees and vegetation will depend on the regional climate, but you can often expect a blend of shade and sunlight. The sounds of lapping water and the sight of the shimmering surface often contribute to a tranquil and picturesque atmosphere. Wildlife that thrives in lakeside or waterfront environments may also be present, adding to the natural charm. Swimming and simply relaxing by the water's edge are also common pastimes. The peninsula location might also offer unique hiking trails that loop around the perimeter, providing different perspectives of the water and surrounding landscape. Wildlife viewing opportunities are often enhanced by the proximity to water, attracting various birds and other animals.
Beyond the immediate waterfront activities, the surrounding area might offer additional attractions such as hiking trails leading away from the lake, scenic viewpoints, or nearby natural or historical sites. Peninsula Campgrounds often serve as a hub for both on-water and land-based adventures, making them a versatile choice for a variety of outdoor interests.

Customer Reviews
Stayed over the holiday weekend. Sites are spacious. You have electric and water only. Water pressure was low. Theres a separate pad with a picnic table and fire pit. There’s a large bathroom with showers. I did not use it. Some sites hold 2 RVs but they look pretty tight.
