Well, the secret is out of the bag. Though you do get some windy days here when the weather is good it makes you forget about those days. There is so much fun to be had here. Wonderful campers who we meet each year at the same time. Mardi Gras time is So much fun. From live music to great restaurants to an incredible parade.
Nice employees and I will be back but the place wasn't kept up really well. Furniture was old and worn out, lots of little pieces of trash all over. My dogs kept finding little bones on the ground that weren't fresh looking so obviously sitting on ground a long time. Groundskeeper needs to pay more attention to detail and whole place needs a good deep cleaning. Location is great if you want to be in the thick of it all
My family and I spent 3 days here in early December and it was beautiful!! The park staff are friendly and accommodating making your arrival pleasant. The sites are well kept. The pool was super clean so my daughter enjoyed that. Best of all is location!!! You can walk or ride your bike anywhere from the RV park. I would highly recommend staying here.
Love the location but the place needs a major face lift. We came about 5 years ago and it was in much better shape than last week. The playground is awful with screws sticking out. It should be torn down and replaced. The walking path on the beach use to be so nice with cute signs but now it’s barely functioning. It wouldn’t take much to get this place back up to 5 stars as it has so much great potential.
We stayed here for a quick overnight stay in the off-season (December) so the entire area was very quiet. The campground is in a great location near restaurants and beach access. Their private beach on the bay was very peaceful. The overall campground was tidy and everyone was friendly. Would love to come back when the Tiki bar is open.
