Location and Accessibility

Perry’s RV Park and Campground boasts an enviable location at 6664 US-212, Red Lodge, MT 59068, USA. This address places it directly on US Highway 212, which is famously known as the Beartooth Highway – often heralded as one of the most scenic drives in America, leading directly to the Northeast entrance of Yellowstone National Park. Red Lodge itself is a historic and charming mountain town nestled at the base of the majestic Beartooth Mountains, serving as a popular gateway for adventurers exploring the Custer Gallatin National Forest and beyond.

For Montana locals, the accessibility of Perry's is a significant draw. The campground's location "alongside a rushing river" (likely the Stillwater River or a tributary) provides immediate access to water features and serene natural beauty, while still being "not far from town" – allowing for easy trips into Red Lodge for supplies, dining, or exploring local shops and art galleries.

The fact that it’s right on US-212 means excellent access for all types of vehicles, including large RVs, motorhomes, and those towing trailers. Despite its roadside location, the reviews indicate that the natural setting by the river provides a sense of tranquility. Its strategic position at "the base of the Beartooth pass" makes it an unparalleled basecamp for those embarking on or returning from one of the most iconic drives in the country, or for day trips into Yellowstone National Park, which is described as a "beautiful drive" from the campground. Absolutely amazing! Found by chance, will return by choice! Beautiful place alongside a rushing river and not far from town. Drive to Yellowstone is beautiful too. The staff is amazing too! I cannot say enough how much me and my wife loved our stay. We had a tent site right alongside the river which provided soothing white noise of rushing water to sleep to. RV sites are nice too. Beautiful campground, clean washrooms, super friendly staff, what a great location at the base of the Bearstooth pass. Prices are very reasonable for this beautiful location! Only complaint we had, the ports potties needed supplies and didn’t get tended too while we stayed there for 2 days, it appeared that they were short-staffed, the walk to the flush toilets isn’t far and they were perfect.

Fantastic campground! The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a site down by the creek with trees all around. We enjoyed a campfire and visits from deer and even a moose strolled through just before dark. This is a great place to relax and use as a base for area adventures. We will be back!

Love this place. As we say in England it’s cheap as chips. No hook up for my tent but a spot by the river. Damn this place is nice. Porta potty 20m away and looks like it’s ready for Sgt Majors inspection. Showers were just about as clean as they get in campsites. Time and money have been spent on this place. Nowhere in Red Lodge has this kind of calm and serenity and I’ve stopped in RL more than a few times. Hope you like the pics….safe travels.

Lovely place. No sewer hookups. Sites mostly level. Watch the divots - we got stuck. Pros Service - wonderful. A lovely work camper was delightful. Location - You don't much better. Right on a *raging* creek (6/17/24), 5 minutes from town, just at the base of the mountains. Awesome. Water/Power - Good pressure, 30/50 amp, good placement Bathrooms - Large, very clean and plenty of *HOT* water. Very hot. Wonderful. Cons No Sewer at the site. Only a dump station. Pretty expensive for no sewer Big Rigs - Make sure you know which way you need to turn for your site *before* you pull in. The office is to the left. Some sites are to the right. If you turn left and need to turn around, it is a PITA for big rigs Divots - There was a divot in my spot and my RV sank to my jacks. Took me 30 minutes to get enough wood under the tires to get out. Check first Sites - I was to the right, in #46. 46 is actually the turn-around lane, so we wound up just blocking off the entire turn-around.
