Customer Reviews
Great campground! Loop A-D are all great! If you're camping with friends you can get spots that are great for all of you to be able to connect or if you prefer you can get spots farther away from each other if you like a little bit more isolation. There's something for everyone. It's also great for the kids. There's a playground and lots of space for them to run around and play. If you're into geocaching, there are a handful of them around as well. There are also two lakes for water activities to include fishing, boating, jet skiing and a swim beach. You can also hike and bicycle. So much to do for everyone!
Park is a really nice play to visit. It's very quiet considering how many people are here. A bit windy and hot in late June. But the lake is great place to cool off at.
Surprise! Welcoming staff. Nice clean and relatively large and private camp sites separated by scrub pine and piñon trees. Plenty of trails around the reservoirs and nice views of the Spanish Peaks. Dog-friendly as are all Colorado State Parks. And a golf course and mini golf are a major attraction at this state park - as well as a great restaurant at the small “country club”. Go!
Nice campground with 2 beautiful Lakes (boat launch) with a beach for swimming and paddle boarding. Fun playground, hikes, bike path with ample RV camp spots. DOES NOT HAVE SEWER OR WATER HOOK UPS ON MOST SITES, ELECTRIC ONLY....dump site available. Great Park for Families. Hosts are on Site.
Absolutely wonderful campground. Outstanding views of snow covered peaks from almost every site. Great restrooms. Pay showers. Fantastic hikes. Good potable water and clean sanitary dump. Best sites; A-25, B-47 or 53, C-66, D-99. However all are nice with good spacing. Stay away from the bends in each loop as those had the most slope ( still nothing that couldn’t be overcome).
