- "Operable water pump and clean porta potty. Tons of mesquitos. Probably the worst out of the 4 sites we stayed at."
- "A great free hiker/biker campsite along the C&O Canal towpath trail. Nothing special by campground standards, but it's one of the nicer free spots along the C&O bike trail."

Great spot for a hammock camp.
Enjoyed the argument graffitied on the "trash free park" sign. Pan-gap-c&o June 2020
The big open field here was well maintained and offered plenty of space, but for the most level ground you have to go a long way away from the amenities. Cell coverage for Internet was poor, but my texts went through (Verizon).
