Absolutely beautiful campsites. Especially number 77. Spent 3 nights here and it was so peaceful. There is a trail leading right down to the lake. It was our first time booking a walk in site and we loved the experience. It's about a 5 minute walk from the parking lot. You cross over a small bridge then walk up a bit of a hill. They have a food storage shed for everyone to use which was very helpful. We loved our stay at silent lake. What a great place for an adventure.
Mature fir/birch forest, lots of space between sites, and quiet. My new favourite Ontario Park campground.
Large spaced out campsites with lots of tree coverage. About a 2km walk to the park office/store. Quiet and relaxing area for the most part.
I wrote a detailed review under the main park listing for Silent Lake Provincial Park.
Great place to spend a weekend and even more. Sites have a lot of shadow under canopy of the mostly conifers forest. They have the 15 km Lakeshore hiking trail - I would say it is a double-diamond trail by its complexity! I have enjoyed it very much!
