Pine Lake Campground Introduce

Nestled in the heart of Antimony, Utah, Pine Lake Campground offers a serene escape for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts. Surrounded by towering pine trees, this campground provides a cool and shaded environment, making it an ideal spot for camping during the warmer months. The campground features spacious campsites, including group sites, ensuring plenty of room for families and friends to gather and enjoy the great outdoors.

One of the highlights of Pine Lake Campground is its proximity to Pine Lake, just a 15-minute walk from the campsites. The lake is a popular spot for fishing, with rainbow trout that are larger than those found in many other lakes. During your stay, you might even see cattle passing through the campground in the early mornings, adding to the rustic charm of the area. While swimming in the lake is not recommended due to the presence of leeches, visitors can still enjoy paddle boating and other water activities.

The campground offers basic amenities, including a single built-in port-a-potty and an on-site water spigot. While the bathrooms are clean upon arrival, they may require more frequent maintenance during peak camping seasons. Despite this, Pine Lake Campground remains a favorite among campers for its peaceful atmosphere and beautiful surroundings.

Here’s what some of our happy campers have to say about their experience:

  • "During September, this place is very quiet. The lake is about a 15-minute walk with easy places to fish. The rainbow trout was bigger than most lakes we've been to, and it took 2 hours to catch 7 of them. We released them back into the lake, and no fish was harmed."
  • "Great site! I love all the pine trees; it keeps you cool. The bathrooms were clean the day we arrived but didn’t seem like they were being kept up. By the end of the stay, the bathrooms were really gross from all the campers."
  • "The camp site was very large as we booked a group site. The mornings you may see cattle passing through your site, adding to the rustic charm."

Whether you're looking to fish, relax, or simply enjoy the beauty of nature, Pine Lake Campground is the perfect destination for your next outdoor adventure. Pack your gear and head to Antimony, UT, for an unforgettable camping experience!

Great site! I love all the pine trees it keeps you cool. The bathrooms were clean the day we arrived but didn’t seem like they were being kept up. By the end of the stay the bathrooms were really gross from all the campers. There is a lake near by i searched everywhere to see if you can swim in it and even checked postings at the campsite keepers trailer but nothing was listed. I saw people using paddle boats etc. and saw other people swimming in the lake but after trying to swim in the lake ourselves my husband ended up with a leech on his leg. So I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND SWIMMING in the lake.

We were lucky one weekend and barely anybody was at the campground. Lots of fun streams/creeks for kids to play in. 5 year old enjoyed frog hunting. They like to hang out at the banks of the lake and then jump in. Easy to miss if you don’t look closely. They also hang out under the bridge. We went mid August and the weather was perfect. Some sprinkling. Not super hot. Campsites are spacious. Great in comparison to the northern campsites that are sooooo crowded. Beautiful wildflowers and herb like smells around the lake to explore and enjoy. Fishing is a bit difficult in the shallow areas because of all the grass. Could be difficult from shore. Good fishing in the deeper area with a kayak. We trolled around with a lure and that’s how we got our fish. My 5 year old caught his biggest fish! The fire pits at the campsite are nice. The camp host was a bit of a stickler but that’s ok.

We booked a group site (Clay creek) over July 4 weekend 2024. It was great! A few things to help future campers about this site: - no cell service for Verizon. T-Mobile had great coverage - no trash on site, take bags a 15 min drive to dump - this site was a great location for bathrooms that were refreshed daily (not first thing in the morning, but before 11 each day) - we never saw the host to get in touch but there was firewood available for purchase, $8 cash per bundle - no ice available and nearest stores are a good distance away - we had our own water on site and overall a really great site layout. - there was space for 7 vehicles, which includes any trailers - there were not any pull-through trailer spots so plan to back in.

We were the last ones to leave for the 2022 season and the only ones staying in the park the last night. We stayed five nights and none of the nights were busy so it was mostly always super quiet. The host seemed to keep the place super clean at all times. We didn’t use the bathrooms but upon a quick peak in they looked pristine as well. The wood bundles were among the largest we’ve seen in all of Utah for the same price of $8. Lake is close by with easy rainbow fishing. ATV trail close by. People complain about the road in but it wasn’t terrible. Yes, a bit of washboard, but a sweet spot not too fast nor not too slow made it easy travels even towing a fifth wheel.

Wonderful place for camping, hiking, and fishing. We are a retired couple that love to visit Pine Valley. So quiet and peaceful. Deer are always seen, and wild turkeys are often heard and/or seen.
