We rented one of the cottages near the lake and it was just the right size, clean and the heating cooling system was efficient. The cottage was perfectly supplied with dishes etc. There were a lot of activities to participate in and even though there were a lot of dogs , ours included, it was pleasant and issue free.
We always have a wonderful experience when we go! The cabins are always clean and stocked with fresh towels and linens. The staff are super friendly and helpful. I have recommended this campground to everyone and everyone loved it! If I could live here all summer I would!
Large campground. More cabins/cottages than we have seen anywhere. Update September 2024: Came back for another visit. We were very pleasantly surprised to see the wristbands are no longer required for your stay to use the pool. Thank you for making that change. Pros: -We did not stay in a rental but others in our party did. The cabins were by far the nicest we have ever seen. Everyone wanted to come back for our annual family trip because the cabins were so nice. -The pool is outstanding with a hot tub. Large patio area with ample tables and chairs. Outdoor showers were great for the pool area as well. -Full hookup sites. Ours and most all the ones we saw were level and easy to get into. -Lot's of activities and everything was very clean. -The "lake" is more of a big pond which was good for some fishing. (you would not want to swim in it) -One of the staff who saw all our bikes made a point to tell us about the trail that is located just outside the campground entrance. This is a hard packed trail that is easily ridden on and goes along a river out to a dam. This was a highlight as all of us with bikes rode the whole thing. If you enjoy walking or riding through the woods, don't miss it. I put a picture of the trails here as well Cons (at least for us) and why I didn't give 5 stars: -The new owners have made lots of updates. They have street lights throughout the park along the roads. This creates a park setting which many will love but our site was so brightly lit that reading a book was absolutely possible at night. The lights stayed on all night as well. For camping the bright lighting takes away from the experience in our opinion. In fairness I did not see the entire park at night. We were in the 600's. -The pool was great but having to wear a wristband for the entire stay is off-putting. There must be a better way.
We go to Pine Lakes twice a year & absolutely love it! The cabins are great- comfortable, clean, and with all the necessary amenities. The activities and events they hold are a lot of fun! We love the live music and our kids love the crafts. The meals they do are excellent and a great affordable option instead of cooking. Highly recommend a visit!
We've stayed here many times over the last few years. It's super convenient for a quick getaway for us, and it's so easy on and off Route 84, right to the Pike. They've been adding more and more cabins over the years, so now, when it's full, it does get a bit crowded. But they are really good about cleanliness and quiet hours. Despite the weekend crowds, during the week, it dies right down and is lovely and peaceful.
