We recently stay at Pine lane campground and wanted to say what a pleasant experience it was. We had only intended to stay one night, but weather prevented traveling back home. We ended up staying three nights and found this location to be our favorite so far, not because it has most amenities but because of the peace and tranquility that is so hard to find out RV sites. They have a beautiful fishing pond where children and families were enjoying fishing and just being together. A quiet and friendly environment and gracious hosts. This is the place if you want to enjoy a peaceful and restful experience. Wish we had the time to stay longer. Campground is within 15 minutes of some of the most beautiful beaches on Lake Erie, farm market stands for fresh fruits and veggies, and from what we’ve seen some of the nicest people. We’ve been traveling from Maine to Texas, and through the Midwest on our way back to Maine and this has been our most pleasant layover out of all the sites we’ve visited. Thank you to the campground for providing such a wonderful location to stop and unwind.

Under new management! The new owner told us some of the bad reviews are from prior years he wasn't here and he isn't tech savvy so the website isn't accurate, always feel free to call! They're super sweet and it's just two of them that run the place and it has a great community feeling to it. They would close the little shop and simply leave a note saying to grab them if you ever need anything, they invited us to a campfire cookout, the place has a fish cleaning station and a laundry area which we were impressed by, the showers are VERY nice and they want you to help clean and take part of the campground too. When we were heading out, they told us to come back, they were full of jokes, hospitality, and honesty. Heads up - they are cash only but you can buy RV parts, ice bags, and firewood at great prices! They even told us some places we could check out too (markets, Peggy's, lakes, etc.) during our stay.

As we slowly pulled into Pine Lane Campground, a male came up to our shotgun window. We assumed it was just someone to welcome us to the campground and assist us to the site as other campgrounds do. NOT SO - after I cheerfully said hi, the nasty owner gruffly stated that the speed limit was 5 miles per hour. I stopped smiling and said ok and he had nothing else to say to us. If we hadn't signed up for 2 nights, I would have turned around and exited the campground right then. Each night for water and electric was $50.00 CASH only. The only reason we came to this campground was because so many reviews said it was really quiet. Once again, NOT SO. A train track runs across the street and trains run all hours of the day and night. When some of the trains passed through our RV actually shook so much it felt like an earthquake. There are only 4 sites in the entire campground that are for visiting campers. All of the rest are seasonal sites. I really don't know why they bother with those 4 sites - they obviously only want seasonal campers.

Nice, tidy and clean campground, well cared for. There are a lot of long term campers and park models but we were able to snag a spot for just a night. Site was gravel but it was pretty level and right next to the pond.
