Location and Accessibility
The Pine Needle Group Site is conveniently situated at Chinook Pass, WA-410, Naches, WA 98937, USA. This location places it squarely in the heart of some of Washington’s most breathtaking natural scenery. For those of us living in the Puget Sound area, it's a popular escape that feels a world away while still being accessible for a weekend trip.
Reaching the campground requires careful planning, especially depending on the season. While the address indicates WA-410, it's crucial to be aware of the seasonal closures of State Route 410, particularly near Chinook Pass, due to heavy snow. Many local residents attempting to access the site from the Seattle area, especially in the spring, have encountered road closures or challenging conditions on forest roads like NF7080. It has been noted by visitors that NF7080 can be muddy and snowy, requiring vehicles with good tire traction devices or even 4WD SUVs to navigate successfully. During these times, US Highway 90 might be a viable, albeit longer, alternative route. Always check the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) website for current road conditions and closures before heading out. This is a vital step for any Washingtonian planning a trip to the mountains, ensuring a safe and smooth journey to your camping destination.
Despite some seasonal access considerations, the journey to Pine Needle Group Site is part of the adventure, leading you to a serene and beautiful setting that makes the effort entirely worthwhile. The proximity to the majestic Wenatchee National Forest and the North Cascades region means you’re on the doorstep of countless outdoor recreational opportunities unique to our state.

Customer Reviews
Good spot for a group. it’s close to the road and there is a lot of road noise, but it’s also next to a river and beautiful.
Tried to visit it from Seattle on 5/19, my 4WD SUV can’t get through. NF7080 is muddy and snowy. You need good tire traction devices. And state route 410 is closed. High way 90 might be a good option although it’s distance is much longer.
It was so luxurious and big and just wonderful very nice place to stay
Awesome campground for a big gathering.
