Beautiful area and lots of wildlife! The campsites are not the easiest to back in to, lots of large rocks and logs. But the sites are distant enough from one another. Everything was kept very clean, the bathrooms, playground area and beach. They pick up your garbage enough too. If you need to use a shower there, they are $2 in quarters!!!! There is no change machine nearby on site so make sure you bring quarters. The beach and water was clean but a very small area and people did not follow the rules of having their dogs on the beach and water like the signs posted while we were there!!! And firewood is also pretty pricey, a lot more pricey than other campsites. $6.00. We had a nice time but be prepared it is a little more pricey than other campgrounds. Our site number was #8, I posted photos below in our review.
We had a dock right outside our door for our boat. Sites could have been a little deeper and angled a little better to back in our camper is 42' and a few less trees
Great spots right on the water. Really wish that when people post pictures of their campsite they would include the site number! Sometimes you see a picture of a site you would love to book but it is really hard to figure out what site it is.
Really nice campground on the Holcombe flowage near Chippewa Falls. Nice sites, some with docks. Reasonably priced, but everything you need is an extra cost. Shower, dock site was extra, wood (of course) so it ended up being the same amount as a state park in the end. Of course you have to stop at the Leinie Lodge for a flight.
Very quiet campground, neighbors are far enough away but groups can use the trails to get to neighboring sites quickly. Biggest down side to this camp is firewood is too expensive for the amount of wood you get compared to other county parks, highly recommended to bring your own. Best sites are on the water!
