We did not camp here, but we did an 8 mile day hike to the river. This was a gorgeous spot with clear, well maintained trails. The scenery is unmatched. This is definitely a diamond in the rough.

Primitive camping currently $20/night with picnic tables and fire rings. Vault toilet as well. Suitable for tents, car camping, and maybe a small trailer (pop-up, teardrop, 20ft maybe) in sites 1/2 or 3/4

People learn! LEAVE NO TRACE!!! Campgrounds were filled woth micro trash same with the trail. 6 spots to camp. Please be respectful to the other campers with voice and music levels. Most humans come out here to enjoy the wilderness and silence. No credit cards accepted at this campground. No place for recycle or trash available at this location. No water available at this location. All camping spots are right off the main road & it's first come first served.

I come here to enjoy the lack of people and glorious detachment from civilization. However, there are little to no amenities here, so be prepared if you come to camp. A vault toilet is open some of the year, but there is no running water at all. The sites are best suited to tents, and none seem accessible to RVs or trailer campers. This campground is also pretty far off the beaten path, so be ready for a 30 minute drive minimum to get to some semblance of humanity, which is really a general store and restaurant at Vallecito. Worth the trip every time.

Really good place to immerse yourself in nature but the camp sites are almost on top of one another, and not all spots will allow you to have your own parking spot along with, sites 1&2 has to share parking. Does have a bathroom so that is a plus. This campground is a more of a dry camping place because there is no running water here. Also unable to bring in a RV or a pop up not unless you take up all the parking spots in the parking area by the bathroom.
