Customer Feedback: "The weekend I stayed at Pine Springs was truly unforgettable. Being the only camper there felt like a unique privilege, and the campground's cleanliness and amenities were top-notch. The dirt road leading in requires some ground clearance, but once you arrive, it's well worth the effort!"

I guess I was unbelievably lucky, but the weekend that I went up there I was the only one in the campground! The sheriff's deputies, who patrol their regularly, which is nice, stated that they had never seen that before. The campground is wonderful, it reminded me very much of Big Bear (Holcomb Valley area). The road in is dirt and in fair condition. I was able to pull my pop-up trailer up to the campground, but there are a couple spots that, if they get any rougher, will probably be best negotiated with a high clearance/4wd. For those of you interested in the amenities, the restrooms are the vault toilets, but they were unbelievably clean without odor! The campsites were extremely large and there are 12 of them. Each one had a very nice picnic table and fire ring. There is no water, so you definitely need to bring enough for your stay. For those of you who are going up for off-roading, the yellow jacket trail is very close by and there are multiple other Jeep trails and roads for utvs and ATVs. There is no direct fee for staying at the campground, but you do need the adventure pass.

Nice kept campgrounds lots of trails to hike, hunt, or ride on. However you need some ground clearance on your car to make it to the campgrounds, a typical sedan might get damaged trying to drive on the trails coming in

There is a vault toilet, although it was not stocked with TP or hand sanitizer. There are about 10 actual campsites with firepits and tables, although there's plenty of room to pitch a tent in the middle if they're full which is what we did. Lots of hunters out in the Fall, some of which left lots of trash and were very noisy unfortunately. Probably great in the off-season though as it is quite picturesque and near some hiking. We managed to get up there in our Prius but there were some dicey spots- would recommend higher clearance although you definitely don't need a 4x4 to make it in.

I camped here on a Wednesday night in July and had the whole campground to myself. I was surprised to be able to text and receive email from the campground and the top of San Guillermo Mountain. It was a hot climb. But the views from the top were good, but hazy.

Beautiful in the spring and fall. In the summer there is so many small flys during the day it will drive you mad and bug replant does nothing to keep them away. Bring a pop up screened room with you or you will not have an enjoyable time. During the cooler months there’s no bugs.
