The campgrounds were tranquil, quiet, and well kept. No hot showers; pit toilets available within a short walk. The hot showers are $6/person near Silver Overflow Lot (7 minutes away). We rented Site 7 which is a quad site; can fit 4 tents/families; has a fire pit; and two tables under a pavilion. The tent pads were in great shape. Due to the slope, it may be a concern during rains/floods. The price for single, double and the quad site vary $28-50/night; the quad being more expensive. Site 7 was very spacious with trails directly behind it, however, many hikers and cyclists have the incorrect idea that the campsite is a continuation of the trails (T568) which back this particular campsite; the trails continue through a different area. We had people walking straight through the campsite while our kids were playing and our family was hanging out. A hiker and their dogs walked right beside us while we were relaxing on our hammock. A sign indicating not to walk through the campsite would be helpful for visitors. Overall, it would have been 4-5/5 if this was enforced so people wouldn’t be walking through an occupied and paid for campsite. Other than those safety concerns, lots of wildflowers and wildlife including deer, horses, crows, squirrels, and coyotes.

We had a wonderful time! The campsites were clean and well maintained. The bathrooms were also in great condition, plenty of TP and minimal spiders. The tent pads were raked and even. Our camp host was very helpful. Overall I can't remember a better place we've camped.

No rooms, camping only. Great camping, many places both tent & rv. No power, Only pit toilets, they do have water. Wild life like elk, deer, wild horses wonder this camp ground giving it a magical quality. Several trails nearby, and in a pinch cloudcroft is only 15 minutes away.

We loved this campground and will be back as soon as we can. It was perfect for tent camping, had easy access to trails, and was kept very clean. This is the first campground in Cloudcroft I have been to where rules regarding generators/noise were enforced/followed, and I truly appreciated the quiet. The only downside is that our site did not have a faucet, as compared to the site we had when we stayed at the Silver campground, and this complicated things slightly. It's obvious the host Don manages this place very well. He was so kind and went out of his way to make our experience pleasant. He even checked on us during a thunderstorm. As an inexperienced camper, I had a lot of questions and he patiently answered all of them. The campground itself was great, but Don's kindness and the suggestions he gave is what really made the experience awesome.

The camp host is extremely friendly and ever so helpful. Nice clean restrooms and hot shower areas. Very beautiful and quiet up in the Sacramento mountains. My family had a great camping experience and we'll be returning again for more wonderful memories.
