Had a pleasant stay. Our only issue was finding our site a couple of times even with a map (and I consider myself a good navigator). Very spacious sites for most. Had hot showers for some quarters and they were reasonably clean, if dated a bit. Would say the higher price was worth the close proximity to the Plymouth historical visits. Take in Plimoth Patuxet Museums package if your able. Really enjoyed the village with dressed up era staff. Might mention the check in and front gate were well designed and helpful. Would stay again.
We visit this campground at least once a year. The facilities are basic but clean. The store is small and could use an expansion. The hall and games could use some updating. The sites are nice, spacious, and well maintained. I wish there were more activities offered/scheduled or outdoor sports for the whole family (shuffleboard, bocce ball, etc.). The new office and automatic gate were great additions. We'll still continue to go every year. It's also close to downtown Plymouth, which is nice.
We tented here and loved it! The site was large, wooded, private. We heard the gun shots from the near by range on Friday night, but they were over by 8pm. Saturday we heard only a couple. We didn't find it bothersome at all. There was the occasional low flying plane as well from the airport, but again, nothing detrimental to our experience. The bathrooms and showers were very clean, but they were quite far from our site unfortunately. Store and bathrooms are located up a STEEP hill. Very do-able, but important to note if you have a stroller, wagon, or have a disability. The snack shack, live music, clean pond and beach, ice cream window. They have it all and it was really well done! We didn't have to leave once. Highly recommend and will be back!
This is a great campground if you want to be close to the historic sites in Plymouth, it is only about a five minute drive. Check-in was easy; you get a key card to access the gate. However, getting to my campsite in the rear of the property was quite confusing. The map that they give you looks real nice but it is not accurate at all. The streets on the map do not line up with the true streets. I would not like to show up in the dark. The camp store was nice and stocked with everything you would need. There is a big room where you can play board games or read a book, a pool table, air hockey and some other kid’s type of electronic games. It was a little bit of a pain doing laundry because there isn’t a change machine at the laundry facility. I went to the office in inquire and they sent me to the lodge. The machine only takes $1’s and $5’s. Once back at the laundry, the laundry machines performed well. The negatives I want to note about this location is there is a shooting range very close where they shoot large caliber ammo and it starts early and goes late. There is also an airport very nearby, so you will hear that. At the end of our stay, I used the dump and it could use some attention with the hoses, the two hoses available did not have usable ends on them in order to connect to flush. I did enjoy the great wi-fi. When I saw that I was camping in a pretty isolated spot toward the back, I thought the wi-fi wouldn’t be that good but it actually was.
Here, teaching yoga at a retreat. Great place to camp they have cabins and yurts, or rvs. Bring your tent. Swimming, fires. Nothing better. Great family that runs it.
