Terrible staff at entrance gate. Wouldn’t allow someone who hasn’t seen the campground to enter to look at sites. Haven’t been there in over 20 years. Just wanted to see the campground and they said they had a Halloween event that started at 2pm. It was 9:23a.m. and we couldn’t go look at campground sites. Sadly they lost our business and all of the families we camp with. It’s okay but sad the situation and how management mishandled the situation. Normally they just charge &5 to enter. We could have lord and said we were there for the Halloween event, but that’s not us. Just honestly wanted to see the campground since we were in the area.
Beautiful sceney and a hidden gem. A group of us went Thanksgiving Weekend as a yearly theme. Had a great time, the views are nice, lots to do, clean as well. Pretty reasonable as well.
Beautiful place tucked back into the woods. When driving in early in the morning a huge buck and his does greeted us upon pulling in. Lots of cabins and places to roam about. Close to Dover, TN to give you modern conveniences but far enough away to be able to feel disconnected and out in nature.
Very nice place!!! We camped in our tent for 2 nights and had a wonderful time. The other campers were friendly and mostly everything was clean!!! We can’t wait to go back!!!
One of the worst experiences I have had! We reserved online. Get there and they say we didn’t. No service what so ever to show proof (my mistake of not printing and screenshot of confirmation… will not happen again) said our spot was already rented and surprisingly no one ever got on that spot. Luckily after a 7.5 hour ride there was a spot in the same loop for us to rent (and e we’re camping with other family ). Biggest issues are. They don’t tell you people live in this campground that have children they do not tend to … who are always standing at your campsite glaring at you until you offer them food …. Or all the dog feces that is left in the campsite along with cigarette butts. The people behind us had 3 cats in tiny crates that were left in them continuously until they took them out and washed the crates at the station where people fill their water up at . Just not sanitary or a relaxing experience…. But if you’re down for a different experience ….enjoy. I did the the office no about the dog poop and the nasty campsite … as far as the children it is obvious. And I’m not going to eat in front of child and not give them something. I feel this should be a warning or a notice that people live on these sites.
